Show disasters
Just wondering what some of everyone's worst show moments are? I just had one of mine. Going for back to back world series with the Phillies up 3-1 on the Padres in the nlcs with a 6-0 2nd inning lead. Blew the lead and lost the game 12-10, lost game 6 at home 2-1 and then lost game 7 at home 3-2. Won the world series as the second wild card last year and it was a great run. This year we were the best team in baseball wire to wire and as awesome as last year was this ending was just as devastatingThe Red Zone: Indianapolis ColtsSeason 1: 18-1 Super Bowl ChampionsSeason 2: 16-3 AFC ChampionsSeason 3: 16-3 Super Bowl ChampionsMinnesota VikingsSeason 4: Coming soonTags: None -
Re: Show disasters
Mine would have to be a nightmare game I just had in my cubs franchise. I got two guys seriously injured on almost back to back plays. Lester goes with a torn ligament he's done, then Soler somehow gets hit in the face with a lineout as I'm trying to catch it and he's going to be out for a bit, all in the same inning. When I'm hovering around .500 in the chase for division title and wildcard, and I play every game no quick counts, so it feels like I just got kicked in the stomach.
This while Jason Hammel went down for the year in spring training (simmed) I already made a move and got Nova from the yankees to fill his spot, now I need a left handed starter too. -
Re: Show disasters
I gave up a HR with 2 outs in the ninth to end a no hitter back on MLB The Show 10. On top of that it made me throw my can of coke at the TV and it no longer worked.Comment

Re: Show disasters
A fly ball was hit down the left field line and a fan got in the way of my left fielder making the catch when I had a 3-0 in Game 6 of an NLCS that I was up 3-2 in. I was five outs away from the World Series.
Another was in the final game of another NLCS in which I had to win one out of three to get to the World Series, the ball went under my first baseman's legs to tie the game at 3 in the bottom of the 7th. I ended up losing 6-3.
(Sigh) sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!Comment

Re: Show disasters
In RTTS: My Left Fielder was having his first breakout year through about 35 games, I had 8 HR, was batting around .340, led the team in doubles also. I dove for a ball in the outfield, injured my shoulder and was put on 15 day DL, but wasn't healthy yet and did another 15 day DL stint. Came back after missing a month, and in my 2nd game back, slid into second and injured something else, torn ligament in the knee or something, went on the 30 Day DL. Again, wasn't healthy when DL stint was over, chose the option to try and play through it, but still sat on the bench and missed another 8-9 games before being declared healthy.
Was on pace for 30 HR and batting over .300 with 85+ RBI, but then I missed almost half the season.Comment

Re: Show disasters
This is going back a way but, in Show 10, I played a season with the Pirates
and lost over one hundred and ten games that year. I've had some real stinker seasons where I lost into the low & high 90's, but never approached the disaster of 2010 before or since.T-BONE.

Re: Show disasters
The only difference between fiction (your game) and real life in this case is what game of the series it happened in:
10/7/84: Leon Durham's error opens the door to a four-run inning as the Padres beat the Cubs 6-3
Seriously man, exactly the same situation. Bottom of the 7th, same score when it happened, same final score...Comment

Re: Show disasters
This just happened to me. Not quite a no hitter but I'm looking at pitching a complete 2 hit shutout, up 1-0 with 2 outs, bottom of the ninth. Torii Hunter homers my 0-2 pitch to tie the game. I then proceed to lose in 15 innings. Completely deflating.Comment
