I Have One Simple Question [VIDEO]

Overall, this game is great. But there are still some truly headscratching moments. I'm not talking about glitches, more like simple animation flaws resulting in missed tags, late throws, etc.

My question to you is: Why do things like this happen?

Plays such as the one seen above are new to the franchise.. meaning i was not seeing such bad tag interactions on mlb 14. there has been a regression in the category of tag interactions, without a doubt

    good point.

when little things like a player pretending to use a fishing pole; or a mascot jumping on dug-out, take precedent over mlb.com like box scores or better stat tracking, you can understand the validity of a missex tag, and many other unresolved issues.

I haven't seen enough missed tags to think it's a major problem. I probably see a missed tag every 10-15 games or so.

The thing is, it's kind of realistic. Watching the Orioles in real life this year, I've seen 3 or 4 plays with a missed tag on a runner who should've been out by a mile. With the new challenge system in place in real baseball, there have been a lot more Safe calls for baserunners because tagging isn't quite as easy as it appears.

We all understand that missed tags happen. But did you even watch the play in the video? lol

Somewhere in the nosebleed seats, Bob Uecker is yelling 'he missed the tag'.

I haven't seen that happen but maybe once.

The funny thing is I saw a similar play the other night when I was watching the Mets game. Guy stole second and the second baseman totally missed the tag, looked just like that video.

So if it happens once in a while, no big deal, makes it more real.

Yep. And I was trying to explain I've seen almost identical plays happen in real life this season.

Are you seeing this happen a ton? Like I said, I've seen it but not too often
