Using "Result Play" in RTTS or Player Lock

Last year I very much enjoyed playing my rotating Player Lock season with "Result Play" turned on to have the entire game played out within the game engine. It gave a great sense of atmosphere and unpredictability, and was the ideal compromise between quantity and quality of my playing time.

This year, however, Result Play is interrupted after each batter by the following:
    • all players disappear from the field
    • the camera zooms out to show the entire field from, say, the press box
    • the "Classic" RTTS sim screen appears, showing the next batter
    • you must press X to continue

This is a real shame, since Result Play had a great flow to it in years past and I got a lot of entertainment watching my teammates' at-bats. Now, however, the game is constantly interrupted by the "X to continue" screen and there is no flow to the overall experience. Needless to say, any presentation screens that appear just before or just after the "X to continue" screen are likewise cut off and interrupted (especially the audio).

Is anyone else miffed by this?

Could this possibly be addressed in a patch to restore prior functionality?

I've noticed that too. It seems monotonous to do that everytime a play ends on result play.

      Sounds like a bug:

Player Lock this year compared to last year is bad. I don't understand how it regressed so much. I just finished playing a result play player lock exhibition game in MLB 14 and it's so much better.

The pace of the game is great since I didn't have to press x after every play. I could jump and dive while fielding too, which.. whatever.

The only thing 15 has over 14 in this mode is that it looks better. The batter boxes wear more realistically and the lighting is better.

What happened with this mode this year ? I'm asking that seriously. I wanna know how this mode was considered ready in the state it's in.

Also, after what ? 2 or 3 patches, nothing has changed. Is this considered low priority because most people don't play this way ?

This also happens in RttS if it's selected
