The ultimate compliment I could give this game is that I no longer play any other games -- and I'm a fan of other sports and sports games as well (NBA 2k, Madden, NHL, FIFA). I simply want to devote all of my limited gaming time to the Show, whether it's during the baseball season or in the off-season. And now I'm saving a little cash, too, because I'm not buying any other games.

I am the same way. The only other sport game I have bought lately is Project Cars. But I am not sure that counts and it certainly does not keep me away from The Show.

Even though this game has its flaws nd glitches, it still plays a pretty good game of baseball. This is my first year ever playing the show, so I might still be on the new and fresh factor from the 2k series but the variety I see every game still surprises me. I find myself saying almost every game whether I win or lose that I love this game. Havent felt like that towards a baseball game in a long long time

Great post. I agree. Negativity doesn't have to be insulting it should be constructive. Unfortunately this is the internet that were stuck with. On the plus side the mods on this site are better than most and keep the insanity to a minimum. I don't think it will get better unfortunately so I've learned to have thick skin.

Here on OS we are truly blessed to have the developers here listen to what we say and actually have interactive dialogue with us on what we want in this game.

I have an overall positive opinion of the game and my playtime reflects that, but on Internet forums positivity is becoming a virtue where having a complaint is inherently bad. It seems that the self-proclaimed true fans ****ting on haters is more annoying than the haters themselves these days. This is for forums in general, not this one.

In other words, I don't think it's bad for a person to play a game, go on that game's forum, and just say it sucks. It's not bad to reply with the reasons you think it's great. And then there's a back and forth. But people on both sides take it so personally. It's just words on a screen.

I've been pretty involved on video gaming forums for years, this one is beyond tame. Most are flooded with nothing but complaints and the people who passionately love the game battle them on every front, and that's just the way it is.

In general I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to games as long as I can suspend reality and play it and immerse myself, I understand the odd bug or something is going to happen. The people that don't understand that convince themselves to have a real bad time before they even start the game. I have to admit though by comparison on this game, the perceived flaws and rants that actually do make it here I just have to crack up about. It's sports, you fail, you encounter the unexpected, you're supposed to suffer. If your goal is to create a sports simulation that must be a part of it.

To me a lot of the stuff people complain about on this game are features. A lot of people gaming these days just aren't old school gamers. I learned that games were tough back when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was handing me my collective gaming esteem back in the day on the NES. Games have become more and more accommodating and easier, more polished and forgiving. Many just aren't ready to be challenged.

I agree, I have to stay off this forum sometimes. Too much whining over irrelevant stuff.

I actually don't even like baseball nor watch it and even I'm playing this game almost daily. Diamond Dynasty is like crack this year.

The team outdid themselves with the game this year. Even the couple of issues I had with the game were ironed out in the first couple of patches.

This is by far the best baseball game I've ever played. I didn't think anything would beat out Ken Griffey's Slugfest on the 64 for me, but they finally did it.

me too. I get tired of people whining about having statistics; the solo hr bug on ps vita that has been there for years; broken bat. avg. risp for many years; etc.
I mean, c'mon guys .... baseball is about mascots dancing on dugouts and players at bat using a baseball bat asa guitar or fishing pole ... that reflects the history of baseball much more than puny statistics.

The game is awesome. They improved it a lot from last year's version, but there's one thing that's damn near inexcusable in MLB 15 and that's not being able to dive or jump in player lock fielding.

Considering it worked in MLB 14, I can't imagine what broke it.
