Random Franchise?

When choosing a team for Franchise, has anyone just held the controller up/down for a certain length of time and then let go and whatever team it stops on is the team you use?

I'm looking forward to digging my feet back into the batter's box with this game after being on the road most of the last month for work. But, I'm having an awful time choosing a team to use for my Franchise. I tend to shy away from the Mets because I have a hard time separating the real-life moves from what's going on in my game. I've used the Blue Jays (13) and Orioles (14, I've continued that save over to 15) the past 2 years and need a new team, but no clue on who to use.

There are some young and highly exciting smaller market teams for you all with great franchise peices to build around.

I did random spin last year and got the Mets...

Immediately decided to do 3 spins, and then pick one of the 3, or do a random 4th spin and have to use that team.

I got the Mets again.

I repeated the whole thing until I got the Astros.

Just pick the Astros, nice Uni's, great park, some good young talent.

I picked randomly and ended up with the Dolphins.

It's gonna be a longgggggggggg year.

As hard as it is to use the Mets, even harder to use teams in the same division. Royals and Astros are intriguing.

I ended up with the Rockies this year. Yikes.

Ive also been playing as Oakland though.

I restarted so many times it not funny lol but right now I'm the Marlins and so far it's cool

I have tried plenty of teams this year in franchise mode, among others Rangers, Phillies, Twins, Yankees, Rays and Cubs, just to name those where I completed more than a few games playing myself AND the clear winner are the Cubbies.
Although it feels like they are the consensus pick of the majority here and I usually try do it smth else than "everybody" they are the most fun hands down. I kept starting new ones but always came back to that franchise.
If you are uncertain and you don't want completely blow up a team and start from the scratch I'd advise you to them take them, trust me lol

I always go through this ... and I always wind up sticking with the Braves.

Pirates, Blue Jays and White Sox were on my short list this year.

I've always wanted to pick a city with an NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL team, and then just play for that city through one cycle of games.

This is a cool idea if you play every sports game. What city would top your list?

I went with the Rockies this year too, by the way... figured I'm not good at hitting so at least that will get me started. Now I'm getting into the trade season of year 1, so dumping some of the older vets for young pitchers. I've been having fun with them so far!

This is a cool idea if you play every sports game. What city would top your list?

Denver and Miami were usually the top two.

I'm pretty much down to The Show and Madden as my sports titles these days, maybe I need to pick a city with a MLB and NFL team.
