Wil Myers 1b?
So I logged on and checked my diamond dynasty cards and I guess when Myers sprained his wrist last week they moved him to 1b? I am confused. I also noticed Gausman was made a SP even though he has been a reliever and is on the DL.Tags: None -
Re: Wil Myers 1b?
He's been playing 1B in real life the last 2 weeks. Been there since Alonso went down. Chances are one of his secondary positions is now 1B on the Show. -
Re: Wil Myers 1b?
Wil Myers was moved to 1B IRL when Yonder Alonso went on the DL with a bone bruise in his shoulder...San Diego Padres ~ Las Vegas Raiders ~ Los Angeles Kings ~ Manchester United

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
Gausman was never going to be stuck in the bullpen for long. He recently went on the DL, but should be off soon. The Orioles plan is to send him to AAA to be a starter again, and possibly move him up to MLB to be a starter. Tillman hasn't been that good, Norris has been horribleComment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
It's strange that they reacted to a situation position change so quickly, but they haven't noticed that Bryce Harper and Werth switched RF-LF, and have played every game this year at the new positions.
I'd love to stop taking a 20% hit on Harper in RF.Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
Is the 20% hit to Harper because he is playing a secondary position? That happens?Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
I only know from reading posts here, but apparently the info came from a developer. 20% reduction in defensive attributes for playing a secondary position, 40% loss for playing out of position completely.Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
Ok sorry haha I missed the Myers move my bad but Gausman is still questionable to me. He hasnt started a game yet and it is frustrating because to start the year he was listed SP in this game but was in the bullpen. I had him in my rotation then they changed him to a reliver and I had to get a new starter and make him my long man. Now he is back to a starter when I am using him at reliver so I have to get a new long man. I just wish if a guy is really able to do both or whatever In real life then in Diamond Dynasty you could use him in the bullpen or starter if you want. Jesse Chavez Yusmeiro Petit Brad Hand those guys should be able to start or long relive IMO. I like having a stable lineup and this really hurts it. Now with Myers I was platooning him in cf with Joc sometimes but thats out the window because he was already poor at defense and now he would be awful since he is a 1b so I have to go get another outfielder even though I don't want one and was happy with my lineup. Maybe they should have two cards for a guy changing a position during the season is something I thought of. They could just issue wil myers 1b and cf cards or Gausman rp or sp cards something like that. Sorry for the long post wanted to know what others thought?Comment

Pitchers are pitchers, your stamina is determined by the throwing program that you're on, if a guy has spent 5 days listed inside the rotation, he should be able to pitch 60-70 early(spring training, or when moved from the pen to the rotation) and increasing the pitch count after each week spent with that throwing program. And the reverse, if a guy is moved to the pen, pitch count drops quickly, and he gets a tick added to his velocity/break, and a small hit to his 4th/5th pitch.Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
You're right, the developers would save themselves a headache by not considering SP/RP/CL as different positions. By that same logic, they should create a position for Pinch Hitter.

With position players it is really confusing to me. Wil Myers before the year worked at first base but if you wanted to play him there with his cf card he would take a 40% hit. Now that he is a first baseman for three games his position just changes and he loses 40% or sorry 20% off his middling fielding at best in CF. He doesnt hit to play over most my first baseman so he just became completely worthless to me. This really bothers me you should be able to put him at cf in DD with no hit. I really wonder if they should lower his stats a little because he obviously wont react or field like he did in the outfield. So yeah I dont know it is all confusing to me so thats why I say if they have played somewhere they should be able to play there.Last edited by thescottyglasgow; 05-19-2015, 07:13 PM.Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
I know there are other things you're talking about in this thread and post... But as I said already the Orioles are moving Gausman back to starting now. When he comes off the DL, he's going to be sent to AAA to get used to starting again.Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
I understand that Gausman is was and always will be a starter and was temporarily a reliever . I am just talking about for card classification purposes in diamond dynasty or for when they are playing out of position and get a ratings hit. I just dont understand how when I am using him in DD or in the game for that matter how he changes from a reliever to starter without starting a game in the majors this year and over the week where he was reclassified he was put on the DL in real life. His last appearance was out of the bullpen. I understand the myers one because he started his last three games at 1B before going on the DL. The new kid wright what if he throws another great game and they decide to keep him in the rotation and not gausman then they switch his card back to a reliever again? another thing is if that happens then gausman will have changed three times and harper will still be the wrong position I just dont get it. Just found an even better example how is Gausman a starter and Carlos Rodon still a reliever?Last edited by thescottyglasgow; 05-19-2015, 09:31 PM.Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
Well I would really like to know how he moved from 1b to CF now... again. This card and Gausman have been impossible to use or predict. Roark is still a reliever even though everyone knows he is taking Fisters spot in the rotation. Harper is still in LF.Comment

Re: Wil Myers 1b?
Really? He is on the dl and not even swinging a bat he is not playing CF. He went on the DL after playing 3 games at first base and is not even eligible to come off until tomorrow. I just do not get why players on the DL are changing positions when on the nationals their RF and LF are still wrong and a guy starting today Roark is a reliever.Comment
