Best hitting style for a crappy player who strikes a lot?

I have poor coordination when it comes to the analog sticks and not the best eyes for seeing speed differences. With this is in mind what would be the best hitting option for online mp gameplay?

Thanks! I'm tired of striking out 15x per game in diamond Dynasty mode with a really good team.

well timing is probably the easiest out of the choices available. but if you have a real hard time seeing pitch speed differences then timing probably doesnt help you much but i really dont know what to tell you.

Only thing i can tell you is go into batting practise and just work on learning and developing your batting with thew options available until you figure it out.

You should use Directional with button as the swinging option. Use contact swing more. Change your hitting camera. That's the most newb friendly set up.

You can't avoid needing to go to the batting cage and practice your timing. Choose the bat control drill and the pitcher will only throw strikes, allowing you to work on your timing.

There's no shortcut to getting better online. People will tear you up online if you have no discipline. The first thing I do in an online match is to pitch the low change up and see if they are biting. If they do, I'm purposely going to throw low breaking pitches when I'm ahead in the count all game long.

          I suggest:

          - Directional hitting

          - Use the most zoomed in camera you can, I can't remember if you can use custom cameras, if you can, do that with ultra zoom, it makes balls out of the zone look exaggerated and helps you hold back.

          - Don't feel like you have to be able to hit every pitch, if off speed stuff is killing you, sit back and wait on it(high) even if it means watching juicy fastballs go by.

          - Stare right at the pitchers release point, don't even worry about exactly where the ball ends up, get a clear view of that first half a second as the ball shows. Your brain will do the math for you, don't overthink it.

          - Don't ignore the "whooosh" sound, it might seem stupid, but it's just another automatic cue to help your timing.

But maybe you shouldn't listen to me. I'm drilling for oil right now against Jesse Hahn, with his 97mph fastball and 79mph Change.. 18mph split!!(In reality his fastball/change is 8mph, 94/86) Yet another post game edit coming.

In batting practice go into 'bat control'. For each pitch it shows you where the pitch location is going to be and you can practice your timing and/or coordination in tracking the pitch. I usually start with that drill at least once a day and always before I play a game. Also remember to switch up hitters and pitchers to see both lefties and righties at both positions.

It may not work for everyone but it is something that works for me. I'm not a great hitter by any means, but I would be alot worse if I didn't do that.

I'm with a lot of other guys here, batting practice. That's were you need to start along with using different camera angles until you find the one that works best for you. I'm not even gonna suggest a certain camera, just go through them until you find one that works for you.
