Comebackers that hit Pitchers?

I'm sure we've all seen it at least one or twice, where a ball hit by the batter comes back and hits the pitcher on the body somewhere. Usually after the play is completed the commentators will comment on how the pitcher got hit and how they "Hope he is alright"

My question is, out of all the times I've seen the pitcher get hit in-game, from the head to the ankle, he never actually gets hurt or has to come out of the game. Has anybody else experienced this?

Happens all the time to me. I just today smoked one of the pitchers knee. Direct hit. Gunned me out and was perfectly fine. Thinking about adjusting the injury slider and see if that helps

Same here..I myself have hit liners off pitchers heads over 5 times in RTTS and not once did a pitcher come out of the game. God knows how many times I've hit a pitcher on the legs, arms etc and the same thing happens. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I do see this all the time and agree it needs fixing. However, I was thrilled to see a player take a line drive to the face, crumble in apparent agony, and go on the DL with a concussion. However, he was only out a week or so.

I hit one off RA Dickeys chest the other day, he went out off the game. I was so happy because it was just the second inning and I didn't have to see that knuckleball any more.

Would adjusting the timing sliders render less hits directly up the middle in the path of the pitcher?

Or you can do what I do and take your pitcher out of the game.

I was playing the Angels last night in offline franchise and James Shields took one off the foot and I was forced to replace him in the 1st inning. He is day to day with foot soreness. Same game, J-Up smokes one off CJ Wilson's chest, he is completely unfazed and manages to make the play at first. The randomness of injury on this type of play should be adjusted.

Ive seen em come out hurt once, maybe twice...so it can happen, but its something I think that definitely needs to be looked at and adjusted.

And to the fella who says he just takes his pitcher out of the game...thats a fine idea, and a good way to work around it....for you......but when you hit the CPU's pitcher and hes fine, they dont take him out.
