Guess Pitch & Strike Zone Outcomes Results?

I really don't post on the show, just read post and watch videos how to play the game. started on the show12...and I must say this is the best one I ever played. But I just wanted to ask the guess pitch on default with strike zone on, is it a true factor that a MLB player can guess a pitch that lead to a hit..or is it a crutch advantage to user. I'm 10 games into franchise and 50/50 on the decision to use both settings, bye the way hall of fame default pitching & batting. what are outcomes when on are off more hit's less hit's.. thanks.

Yes MLB players do guess pitch types and locations in real life and obviously in real life there is a penalty if you guess wrong i.e. Late on a fastball etc. Now having said that, I don't really use guess pitch but I absolutely do look for certain pitch types in certain locations on 0 and 1 strike situations. If I have 2 strikes in just trying to make contact and foul away close pitches. I wouldn't say you're going to more hits or less hits necessarily, that's going to depend on how you utilize it, it could easily go either way.

So in other words, guess pitch off and strike zone off..for better experience. I was very confused whether to use are not. sometimes it seems good to use, and at times I felted guilty of using lol thanks.

I have it on, but don't really use it. And I have the strike zone set so I can see it if I push a button but it doesn't show it on screen unless I push that button (can't remember what button off the top of my head).

Players do guess, but it is a crutch in this game because you don't get a notification that you are right in real life. You have to still recognize the pitch you are looking for. I still guess without using the mechanic. I will move my PCI to a location and sit on it with less than 2 strikes. Especially if my opponent has been predictable, ie throws 1st pitch Fastball high most of the time. Sometimes I will sit on their punch out pitch as well when I have 2 strikes. But generally with 2 strikes I try to be reactionary and foul stuff off until something that catches too much of the plate comes.
