CPU controlled base running

Anyone else come across very poor decisions?

I have the base running set to auto. I was batting, 2-1 with 2 outs with a runner on 2nd. Pitch comes which was way off the plate which I lay off. Unfortunately the AI seen fit to send my runner to try and steal 3rd, of course he was caught stealing.

What's that all about?

I do my own running buuuttt i have noticed that when i play the computer in my offline franchise that the computer makes alot of poor baserunning decisions and runs into outs alot, And out by like 50 feet in some cases.

What's that all about?

It happens, they make dumb decisions from time to time. You will see other dumb decisions, some will work out, some won't.

I use auto too and I do see some dumb baserunning, but it happens IRL too, so nothing in the game feel unrealistic as far as that goes. You actually see a lot of dumb baserunning IRL anymore it seems, especially if your a Reds fan, over the past few years they have had some of the most boneheaded baserunning I have ever seen,lol, It has improved this yr thankfully, problem is we don't have to many ever on base
