The Ball Size

This is very strange. I've been playing home run derby a lot.. experimenting with different slider settings.. About an hour ago, the ball is now half the size it normally was when it's shown after it's hit and the whole derby feels different like it's a normal game and not juiced..

The ball appears so small now I had to turn on the trail just to see where it is after I hit it.

I actually like the feel of the derby now, but I don't understand what triggered the change.

Maybe your balls look so small because your bat's so big? This makes her a lot happier than the alternative. Try to stay positive. Confidence is key.

OK OK, the jokes aren't horrible, but this really did happen, lol.. It's still small balls. The batted ball is a third of the size it was before.

I'm just wondering if anyone has noticed this.

can you possibly post a video of the ball getting smaller? the only thing i can think of is that the ball does get smaller because its moving away from you as you hit, throw, what ever the case my be. its usually how everything in the world looks smaller the further you are from it.

It's not getting smaller after it's hit. The ball is actually smaller once it's hit. I used to play without the ball trail. If I did that now, I'd lose a grounder once it gets to the grass.

It's a third of it's normal size in home run derby. It just happened when I loaded a home run derby game and it's been like that ever since. The ball is tiny by the time it gets to the wall. It's probably how it would actually appear in reality.

I just remember being able to see the ball ricochet in the stands and stuff, but I can barely see it in that case now.

After I reset the game, the ball is back to normal size..

I figured out what made the ball shrink. Let the game idle at the main menu, so it goes into a preview game. Press the options button to exit the game. Play home run derby and you'll see the ball has shrunk.

It's actually just scaling the ball correctly as it goes further from the camera. Normally, the ball doesn't scale as it goes further from the camera. It always stay one size and very white for viewing purposes I guess.
