I remember few years back it has been an real issue, it's nothing like that this year but still I feel I'm seeing more of them than I do in real Baseball or is it all just an coincidence or my imagination?

Too many ground rule doubles?
Does anybody else think few too many of them are happening in the game? Can't really back it up with statistical data, also I haven't found rl stats.

Re: Too many ground rule doubles?
In over 150 games I've seen maybe 10 if that many.
So I would say no, I don't think they are happening too frequentlyI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Too many ground rule doubles?
I don't know if I've seen any ground rule doubles this year. Maybe it's just the ballpark you are playing at. The walls could be on the short side.
Like you said, MLB 12 had a big issue with ground rule doubles and the ball being way too bouncy. But I don't think 15 comes close to that.Comment

Yes it's nothing like 12, but I'm seeing them more than in 13 and 14. I'd guess smth like 1 every 4th game. Maybe that's even normal?
So strange though that you haven't seen any, does anybody know about how often they happen irl?
I'll start keeping track of them form last game, where I have seen one.Last edited by geisterhome; 05-29-2015, 10:40 AM.Spending time with Jesus!

Re: Too many ground rule doubles?
Its not just the track. Majority of balls that get past the catcher to the backstop will bounce all the way back to the plate and sometimes to the pitcher.Comment

Re: Too many ground rule doubles?
Ive definitely lost quite a few triples to the super bouncy warning track.Comment

Re: Too many ground rule doubles?
I don't think I'm seeing too many ground-rule doubles... certainly not to the extent we saw in MLB 12 (so many fly balls into the gap went for GRDs then, haha...).
I'm not comparing the stats so I can only say from feeling, but I feel I'm seeing them where they are expected to happen (e.g., ball parks with lower height walls down the line), so they haven't bothered me at all so far.
As for the ball physics bouncing off the surface... I think there are always improvements we could hope for.Comment
