The best advice is to try not think about it. If you can go through an entire without realizing thats the best case scenario but if you do realize it... try to think of something else to help keep your composure

I threw 2 no hitters in a row with the same pitcher. I find the problem being the CPU will suck the whole game then suddenly in the 9th inning the CPU turns into 1927 New York Yankees and your out fielders become BALLerinas while doing pliés and arabesques.

I threw a 1 hitter, closest I've ever come in The Show. Samardzija was perfect through 6 until Iglesias dropped a bunt. Event with my 3B playing in, it was good enough that he beat it out pretty easily. I intentionally hit him with a fastball in the 9th! It put Miggy up as the tying run with 2 outs in the 9th and he gave me a scare with a deep drive but I don't regret it.

Great post. I've actually pitched 2 on HOF settings. Both with Tanaka

Threw a no-hitter with John Lackey about a week ago. I didn't even realize I was doing it until the broadcasters mentioned it in the 7th inning. I'm never able to do it if I realize I'm doing it a lot sooner, because the pressure gets to me and I try to be too fine.

Took me a while but in an RTTS AA game, I had a PG going into the 9th and ended up with a 1 hitter... It seems just like in RL baseball, some nights the hitters just get swing-happy and early in the game I realized that I could get ahead with a strike on the corners with either my 4 or 2 seamer, then pitch just outside the zone up and in with the FB and down and away with a VCH or slider.

I just threw my first no-no ever on MLB the Show. Threw a couple on MVP but never on The Show. Using WTNY's OS Realism roster. And playing as the DBacks. Threw Patrick Corbin out there in Colorado against the Rockies. He had a statline of 9 IP 0H 2BB 0R 9Ks. With 1 error as the team. And he threw 105 pitches. Didn't even notice until I was through 7 2/3 innings when Matty V said he was only 7 outs away. Had the TV on as well so I didn't have the sound up.

And my rewards for playing were Erick Aybar and Odubel Herrera.

I've thrown 2 perfect games and a few no hitters. My 1st perfect game was online against another user and I pitched the whole nine innings with relief pitcher Yusmeiro Petite.. Yes I started a reliever and ended up having a perfect game lol... My 2nd perfect game was with Michael Wacha

I threw a no hitter in 15 with Jon Lester (I can't recall who against) and have gotten to the 9th innings a few times, most recently with Cole Hamels against the Mets. Finished that one with a one hitter. Before 15, honestly, I don't remember the last no-hitter. Probably in High Heat Baseball 2003, but that was so long ago.

An error by Wong in the 9th screwed that up. But I tell you what... each time I had to keep wiping my hands..... sweaty palms from the nerves and excitement.
I threw one against the CPU on All-Star difficulty with Michael Wacha also. The biggest thing that helped me get the no-hitter and throw several one-hitters goes along with #8. Not only mix of pitch types but mix up pitch locations. If you continue throwing in the same area you eventually will get pounded. Here is a link to my no-hitter with Wacha if anyone is interested.

My no hitter this past weekend. Pitching with Shelby Miller and the Braves. Stopping a 4 game losing streak vs. the Mets. I started paying attention to the at bats vs the Mets lineup after the 5th inning. I would check my previous pitch sequence to the player at the plate. I challenged a lot guys in their hot zones.

Re: MLB 15 The Show: Some Tips on How to Throw A No Hitter

In 7 years of playing the show over 4 iterations of the game, I've only pitched 2 perfect games (both in 14) and one no-hitter (in 12). One of the perfect games was a rookie September callup, so probably as much fluke as it was talent. All three were southpaws.

So I guess my tip to all those who want to throw a no hitter is: Be a southpaw?

Honestly just try your best to keep it out of your mind and stay focused. If that doesn't work, try to imagine that you gave up a hit way back in the first inning, and you're just trying to get outs and win the game. The last thing you need is for the situation to get to you.

I threw one perfect game, and I was belligerently drunk. For some reason I can't do it sober.. haha. It was with a player in RTTS and it he was about a 75-80 overall.

I think you need to add #11: Avoid collapsing when the CPU tries to screw you, i had a fly ball in the air to RF as the final out in the no-hitter only to have Aoki randomly drop the ball as he was camped under it so technically i had to get 28 outs for my no-no! Aside from overcoming testicular cancer, the deaths of both parents and being abandoned by my wife, mustering up the mental fortitude to get that 28th out ranks high in my life's achievements.
