Re: Has anyone seen the cpu sign a Free Agent during the season?
I just checked my franchise. There were 2 FA signings and I am into August.
AZ signed Everth Cabrera who is 10pts better than next closest option (Chris Owings) but they have him at AAA where has has 233 AB hitting .292/.387/.403. SMH
Dodgers signed KRod and he too is on AAA as a closer instead of in the MLB pen and he is sitting at 2.88 25 IP 17K 21 hits. Not great but could definitely be called up.
Defintely a glitch when guys like Joba are available, in my chise.Comment

Re: Has anyone seen the cpu sign a Free Agent during the season?
The CPU has signed quite a few players in my franchise. The Texas Rangers signed 2 pitchers due to season ending injuries. They also released 2 players to create space for them.
The Padres signed Kenta Maeda to a multi year deal in April. (I manually released Jeremy Baltz who was released in real life last week by the Padres)
Jamey Wright signed with the Orioles in April
The Rays signed Lyle Overbay in June
Saw 11 trades at the deadline.
So it does happen depending on what is going on in your franchise. Also when using 30 team control if you release a player from a team (following real life transactions per say) and you have Free Agency set to auto for the CPU profile they will sign someone to fill the whole.
Transactions can be scarce at times, but if each team's roster has the full 90 guys there is nowhere for the CPU to sign anyone so keep that in mind. I personally follow real life transactions with my franchise so free agent signings are pretty common as I am able to release players from teams as needed and let the CPU do what it wants unless, the team signs someone in real life then I'll do that manually.
Depending on what roster you are using money also plays a factor as well. If a team doesn't have enough money they obviously aren't going to sign a high priced guy.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 06-01-2015, 09:05 AM.Comment

It's never worked. Teams also only make MLB call ups based on injuries too. Amazing it's been like that for 10 years.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord
