Why can't I find a game online?

So it was fine up until last night. I shut my ps4 off mid game in a drunken rage because I thought it would be a good idea to throw a 70 overall knuckleballer online. I also noticed I improved to Verteran rank.

Today I can't find a quick match. Ive changed settings and let it go for several minutes numerous times. I've reset my router/network as well. At one point I couldn't even play an online home run derby because it wouldn't find anyone. Then another try minutes later I found people quickly.

I can't join public rooms either. I made it into rookie once, as a veteran... The rooms say they are full but the numbers suggest otherwise.

I'm lost.

Usually shutting off PS4 and restart the game fixes network issues for me.

Is this Online Rated or Diamond Dynasty? And what is your current ranking?

If you are ranked high (say above 1700) you have a small number of potential opponents waiting for games, so matching takes a while.

Also, this year, DD is much more popular than Online Rated and I'm having harder time getting games in with Online Rated, while with DD it's pretty quick.
