Always. I dont use quick counts, player lock, or sim anything. Just not my thing. I get a lot of enjoyment out of playing every game. It also lets me see how guys are going. Just because someone is only hitting .230 doesnt mean hes playing horrible...perhaps he has saved a bunch of runs defensively...or forced a lot of throwing errors with his speed...stuff like that...stuff you cant see when you sim.

It gives you a realistic look at your franchise, gives meaning to developing your prospects. Y2Y really gives you that opportunity to "build for the future" rather than just hypothetically.

Exactly. I like to actually PLAY the game not just RUN the game. And I dont want this to come of knocking the guys that sim..because I'm not...everyone has their own style of play.

Years & years ago, (PS One days), once I hit a hundred wins with 20 games to go, I'd really lose interest & wouldn't finish. But since the 989's MLB was reborn as the Show, I actually find it more entertaining to play 162, esp. when I don't even have a realistic chance to get a wildcard spot & it's only late August.

              Re: Playing All 162 Games

I am currently 51 games into a full 162. Now I'll confess: I only pitch when my #5 starter and my #1 starter are going, but I hit in every game, so the batting stats are all mine. I also pitch after about the 6th inning if it's a close game (within about four runs either way) or there is a shutout (or better) on the line because I do feel like that's the least I can do to feel like I "earned" the win/loss.

But I have to say, this method has really made me appreciate the ups and downs of an MLB season. I scratch and claw for every run I get, and the pain and anguish of losing a three run lead in the bottom of the 8th is relieved the next night when I put up ten runs in the first three innings and cruise to a 12-4 victory.

It's like the old quote that says something like, "You need both the valleys and the mountaintops because experiencing the valleys make the mountaintops that much sweeter."

I'm currently tied for first with Oakland and despite a really nice 9-1 stretch about a week and a half ago in the season, my play has leveled out and I'm looking forward to my next AL West gauntlet that's coming up in about two weeks. Man, is it ever a roller coaster!?

I am playing all 162. No quick counts. I want the stats I see for my team. To be mine's. Earn em' through it all. Good or bad stats. I have always played all 162.

It's the only way I play. Quick Counts Off, I play every game, and I just grind. Sometimes it takes me the whole year. Sometimes it runs over into the next year (I just finished my '14 season this April).

But it's always worth it. There's nothing like looking at the standings, your stats, etc... and knowing you're personally responsible for every single iota of it.

Once with MLB The Show, it was either 10 or 11. I did it with All-Star Baseball back in the day.

I'm on track to do it with this year's game. I'm at the end of June having played all the games with Quick Counts.

I play every game. From Spring Training until my season ends, I play every game, every inning, every pitch.

Been doing this for last few years.

I played all 162 games of MLB the show 13 with the Jays. Lost in the first round to the yankees in game 5. Even though I lost in the first round after having an amazing season it was great losing to the yankees because it showed me how challenging the game is. I love that in a video game. Hate playing sports games where i dominate. There's no fun in that.

I voted yes, and that's my plan each yr, and I tend to play several of my MILB teams games thruout the season. If I happen to have a big lead in the division, or I have no shot to make the postseason and the real baseball regular season is over with I will sims a few games here and there, but my goal each yr is to play all of them. Its actually been a few years since I have finished a season, as I fool around to much with deciding which roster to use each year along with editing on my own, and end up being July before I start my chise that I will play all yr long till the new game comes out. Not doing that this, as once I get my roster backdated to opening day along with some edits I want to make I going for it and not looking back.

I'm now into the middle of June doing all 162 with my Royals franchise, though I did skip spring training. No quick counts, playing every pitch and really enjoying it. I try to get at least one game in every night, sometimes two.

This is my first year playing The Show and I like how it captures the ebb and flow of the game, and just the daily grind of baseball. I've watched as some of my guys have emerged from batting slumps or slow starts to really hitting the ball well now. Others have cooled off after blazing starts. For example, Alex Rios (not on the DL in MY world, as he was IRL), had been leading the AL with well over a .450 avg into late May, but has since cooled into the mid 300's.

And so far anyway, my MLB world is mirroring the actual season fairly closely in terms of standings, leaders, etc. Kinda cool.

I played all 162 in MLB 12 with Knights 1994 set. Incredible season.

Played all 162 with PJ's 1988 set in MLB 13. Incredible season as well

Played all 162 on 14 with NYY Yankees using the cross platform save when I upgraded to the PS4, I also moved my 1987 Yankees chise as well as the 1991 season replay (various teams).

With Y2Y saves.....no rush, no worry. I play mostly with QC but also play full games....whatever mood I am in.

Just play and keep playing. No timetables anymore!
