I am extremely grateful for the patches they have given us in this years version of the game. There are still some flaws though i can live with them. And the show is still the best sports game i have ever played. But these two issues are really taking the enjoyment out of the game for me. The throws that make the players lunge for the ball pulling them completely off the bag and the missed tags. I have even seen them happen with short throws and sometimes when the throw is nearly perfect the player still leaps and lunges. I realize this happens in the real MLB. but it is a rare occurrence. The other is the hit up the middle that bounces off the pitchers leg. This is becoming a game killer for me. It happens way way to often. I had it happen six times in one game last night. 5 times off the same starting pitcher and once off the reliever. And the starting pitcher never got hurt or had to leave the game. Now really. How many times do you think a pitcher can take a line drive of the foot, leg, shoulder, hand in one game and never get injured. The thing is it usually happens when I am batting.. Maybe my timing is good, I don't know. But it is happening every game. and is really becoming quite frustrating. So please give us just one more patch. These issues really need to be addressed. Don't even have to fix them, Just tone them way down... Thanks for letting me vent.

You are definitely not alone in this regard. I don't know what they changed, but this year there are way too many throws pulling players off of the bag with that AWFUL animation (the one where it looks like the player is about to fall face-first). It happens randomly too: auto-throw/manual throw, perfect release with the throwing meter, throwing to the cut-off man first, it doesn't matter. To make things worse, it also happens on plays where you may have a chance to get an out so there are virtually no close plays at the bag. Miss tags, same thing. Not a problem last year, but definitely is this year. Line-drives hitting pitchers without them even getting a bruise has been prevalent in the past and this year is no different. It is really frustrating in 2-out, runners on base cases where the pitcher can take a line-drive to the leg/torso, field the ball, AND throw to first to get the out.

I've noticed this too, I've lowered throwing errors for outfield and infield and still see it almost every time I throw from both cutoff and outfielder.

I agree a 110%! The other night I hit the pitcher 3 times in the same inning with 3 straight hitters only to be thrown out every time. Yes I play with injuries way down but it's ridiculous and I agree also with the tags as there's no urgency to tag runners and I'd like to also add fielders who aren't covering bases on DP's. Had a 3 hopper to Bryant and had easy DP and threw to 2nd and Russell was 10ft from the bag and I only got the runner at 1st!
