    Re: Removal of Canned Animations?

I've had the dreaded 'two base tag-up to score from second after the 'wall push off' animation two times this year

Woodweaver, can you guys look at this as well? I'm not sure that I would've gotten the runner anyways, but I've seen this a few times where I make a diving stop and the 1B is not covering the bag. The fielders play it as if it were a hit.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

^There is a bug report for that. That is my biggest frustration, happens a lot to me.

I've got two....the one that eco posted and has been posted before....the two base tag up.
The other is the OF dive(they need to be less common IMO) that goes to the wall and the runner goes for the inside the park homerun.....
A lot of those have the runner getting tagged out.....
In either case....there are too many of them.
          I'll get video.

I will say a huge thank you to both Wood and Russell as well as our OS users in this thread who have gone about everything in a VERY mature manner. There is no name calling, no OMG FIX YOUR CRAP TERRIBLE DEVS! comments. Everything here was discussed and brought to light in the appropriate way, which coincidentally garnered responses from the devs. This type of communication is EXACTLY what fosters good relationships between the Devs and the gamers. Great work to all around!

That is not good. I will attempt to find a reproducible case.

That would add a lot to OF play. I'm not sure whether toning the animation down (making it take less time) or removing it altogether is best, but working on the suction into the wall would be great. Thanks.

Woodweaver, I'm not sure if this situation really applies to this thread of canned animation, other than my outfielder went in to an animation to catch a ball while I still had the left thumb stick press right to get to the ball, but the fielder just stop and went in to a catch animation on it own. clearly the out fielder had plenty of time to get to the ball.

Man I tell you what, that animation has plagued me more times than I care to remember in DD games, allowing my opponents to score some easy runs. I would love to know how detection works on this type of play, especially given that your outfielder could have continued to run and catch the ball.
