    Pure Analog / Camera

Quick question as I'm going to switch over to analog now. Is it just the right stick UP to swing and that's it? No power or contact swing? And the PCI just moves on it's own based on player ratings?

Also, I tried switching over to Catcher Zoom 3 for hitting, and so far I kind of like it. Anyone else using this camera?

To answer your first question, you just press "up" for a normal swing, press "left" or "right" for a contact swing, and then is "down and up" for a power swing. I personally always just press "up" for a normal swing and don't even bother with the other types and I have no problems hitting homeruns with just a normal swing. and I have used catcher zoom 3 view before, I don't recall what view I'm using now, all I can say is that its the view where you can't see most of the stadium.

It is a little more than just up on the right analogue stick. As I am sure you know, timing is more important with the analogue stick but I noticed that timing is less important when you use the analogue stick in a non perfect up direction.
For instance, on inside pitches or pitches over the plate and I want to pull the ball, I hit the stick up and to the left with a right handed batter and up and to the right with a lefty. Does that make sense? I tend to do that for wherever the pitch is in the zone and I feel like the timing means less if you do that and you will crush the inside fastballs by doing that. I used to just hit it straight up but recently figured this out two days ago and it made a huge difference. I still do press straight up though on some pitches to hit them up the middle.

As for camera, I use Catcher zoom 3 like you mentioned in online DD, but I use a custom one when I am not online that is pretty similar. It is all about personal taste though.

Read the pure analog hitting thread for some advice and directions on how it works. It isn't just a case of pressing up...that would result in your PCI only ever being in the middle of the plate.

All helpful responses thanks guys. I wondered about how to use that right stick because you would think how it is designed, that you'd press down to swing at a low pitch, up for a high pitch....etc etc but I guess that's not the case.

You can also use Directional hitting with Analog input, which is the control scheme I use. That allows you to just press up/down-up/left/right and its treated the same as pressing a button.
