    Vita version ignored again

Another patch drops for PS4 (and PS3) and yet, the Vita has yet to receive a single patch. What gives this year?

I have the Vita too so I'm wondering the same thing. There are some issues/glitches on the Vita that I've noticed.

    It's a good thing I have a PS4 as well.

It seems like the vita in general is getting the shaft. Sony somewhat seems to be jumping ship on the handheld device. I have one and I'm a pretty big fan of remote play. As internet connections improve its only getting better. I can play the show ps4 on my Vita while I'm at work with remote play on our wifi without many issues so a patch isn't a huge concern for me but I feel for the people that it is important to. I keep hoping Sony keeps supporting vita because I feel like we are really close to remote play being possible with no lag or latency and Internet connectivity is only getting better pretty much everywhere. When that becomes reality people would be crazy not to have a vita to play ps4 games on the go.

I think the Vita is on the way out. The signs are there. Big releases already diminished. Fewer physical releases (MLB The Show being one of them). Mostly indie games and anime waifu games.

It seems it's still popular in Japan but not here. The United States is DS country.

Yeah, I've noticed they're won't be a FIFA 16 on the Vita and Madden's done too. It kind of sucks. I got my Vita as a graduation gift (2 years ago) and soon there won't be any sports games for it.

I get the feeling that Sony never was all in on selling the thing. Terrible or no advertising. People I talk to don't really know a thing about it nor what it can do.

Sold my Vita a few months after it came out.

              Wasn't heading anywhere then.

              Not surprised about it now.

Kind of done with any Sony portable.

I don't regret getting a Vita. It still feels like a complete system with a variety of games. It's just sort of fizzling out now.

Yeah, I don't regret the decision to purchase the system. I just wish the Vita version of MLB The Show received some degree of post-release support.

I did the exact same thing. Sold it a few months after release. I was so excited for mlb 12 and then it turned out to be a major disappointment. Fast play only, mediocre graphics etc. Then I impulsively bought one a year later to play lbp and persona and also mlb 13 and sold it again. It was literally the same game, no improvements whatsoever. They never supported it plus even at the time the technology they used was already dated. I think most people just prefer mobile games (I don't but no new games ever came out for the vita) It's a shame how it turned out.

I have my launch Vita and probably about 6/7 cards full off games. Tied into the Japanese Sony store. I have tons of games. Seriously dont see a time when I wont want my Vita.

Sony quietly announced they won't be developing anymore triple-A games for Vita.

It looks like Sony will no longer be making AAA PS Vita games, Shuhei Yoshia mentioned in a recent interview.

Looks like Vita will be relying on indie games and remote play. In other words, don't expect a Tearaway or Uncharted-caliber game on Vita in the future. I wonder if MLB 16 will be on Vita next year.

We've known this for about 2 years now, but I guess this is Sony's official statement on the matter. Such a shame.

I'm hoping we at least get an MLB 16 on Vita with roster updates and cross-play with MLB 16 PS4. I don't really care if they don't really update the features anymore, just keep releasing those rosters updates and compatibility for cross play and I'm fine.
