    Excessive double steals?

Does anyone else see this? I swear I see at least one a game in 2 out situations and they end up getting thrown out at 3rd. It's really annoying and immersion breaking. I can't remember the last time I saw that in real life, I don't know why it is even programmed in the game.

I play using Nomo's cpu vs cpu sliders so steal frequency 5 and steal success 10 to get accurate stolen base % (I use auto baserunning and fielding). I don't think steal success would make that happen as there is a separate slider for attempts.

It's not every game but definitely more frequent than what we see in the MLB. It has been an easy out for me to get at third most of the time. In general I feel the CPU runs themselves out of innings a lot in this years version. Whether it be stealing or trying for extra bases on hits.

If you have adjusted Pitch Speed, I would recommend to set Pitch Speed and BR Steal Ability to the same value (e.g. set so that Pitch Speed = BR Steal Ability)... I had to jack the ability slider up because I do all my CPU testing with Pitch Speed at 10 the max.

I agree with the excessive amount of double steals being attempted by CPU.

It should also be noted that some of them are actually (failed) hit-and-run attempts, especially when the lead runner doesn't have high steal ability. It's been the same for quite a while.

I would categorize this into one of those "CPU manager isn't very smart" issues (which would also include things like bullpen management, hit-and-run, suicide squeeze logic, etc.).

I do feel it's high time that CPU manager gets some love, hopefully in ways that gives individual (editable) tendency to each CPU manager.

I use pitch speed 10 as well. I wish the CPU would not try a hit and run with 2 outs and 2 men on base. Never get the last out at 3rd silly CPU manager! Would love to be able to set the CPU tendecies. One can dream.

So you don't think the steal success at 10 contributes to this at all? I guess it happens even at default sliders?

If any slider affects this then it would be BR Steal Frequency slider (not Ability)... I don't think I was ever able to reduce just double steals (the slider affects the overall steal frequency, which would include other kinds of steals).
