    Full games.

I can't play on quick counts. Just messes up my thinking at the plate, and especially if it's purely random (i.e. wild pitchers won't be behind more, etc).

I'm huge on stats and I just can't handle the stats not being mine. Haven't simulated a game in years at this point. Sure, it's a shame I never get very deep into a given franchise but that's hasn't spoiled any of my fun. It ends up being a 1-2 year run and I'm fine with that.

I am on dynamic difficulty. I've settled in with great rosters, and great sliders. My plan is to play all 162 games of my franchise. This game is just that good.

I use pre-season to set my skill level, and then it should be baseball goodness all the way to 162. I am really hoping something turns me off of Madden this year, because building that FBG roster set is going to take some serious time away from MLB 15.

I play every game except for most spring training games. I may not get through many years sometimes but with transfer saves now if I want to continue I can.

i play all 162 and have reached sept call ups. I (giants) am 5.5 games up on L.A for the division. i am a twins fan but follow the giants due to being in the same city as their advanced A team (San Jose) so i go to plenty of their games. so i chose the Giants because i wanted to Challenge the Cove and change that splash counter. No luck so far but with Shaw being drafted i feel i may get a chance soon enough.

Really sucks because I was hoping to do a franchise with a poor team and rebuild them.
I usually end up simming a very few games, less than 10 per season.

If you want to do a rebuild, some long term project over years then I would strongly suggest OOTP 16, a truly fantastic game.

This is driving me nuts. I cannot decide whether to pick a team and play 162 or pick a rebuild and play roughly 1 out of every 6 and sim the rest. I've always done the latter, but with incoming drafted pitchers being overpowered and drafting overall being flawed, idk what to do..

Does anyone have a successful way of editing incoming prospects so that they represent a more realistic simulation and so that there aren't so many A and B prospects?

I still play MLB 12 & I'm in the 2013 season. So far, I have played 81 games. I always want the stats of my team to be mine. I've played every game from 07, 09, & 12's first season.

I play every game, no quick counts. I don't like quick counts because that first pitch of the AB is a pretty important one and there is too much game theory associated with it to skip it. Just my feeling.

I will not say that I play a full 162, though. If it is getting late in the season and I'm running away with it or not going to compete in my division, I will sim the last of the season. I might check out any September call-ups that I want. I ran away with the division as the Padres last year so I simmed the last 6 weeks or so. They were one of those mediocre teams that looked good on paper and in the game, the paper ratings and my play made them a winner. I've got the White Sox this year and am experiencing the same thing. I'm turning on dynamic difficulty after cheating it to AllStar and we'll see what happens.

Re: Playing every game in Franchise

I just started my franchise a week ago. 16 games in, playing full 9 innings with NO quick counts. Quick counts is a great feature, but I feel a lose too much control for how I want to pitch certain batters if the quick count ends up something like 2-1 or 3-1.

I'm shooting for playing all 162 games. I sit down and knock out an entire series in one sitting, jumping from one game to the next. Right now I try to get one series every day, every 2 days if work gets in the way. If I can keep that pace up, I can easily play one season, maybe two if I kept at it up before the release of 16.

This is my first time with any baseball game as I'm from the UK. I tried qc and just really couldn't get into any rhythm at all. I am now playing full games every game. 24 games in as the mets and doing awful lol 8-16 record but loving it. My only problem I have is walks. I have drawn the least walks and given up the least walks also.

Currently top batting average at 0.289 but struggling to convert these hits to runs.

Played every game so far w/ the Red Sox, no quick counts, on dynamic difficulty. Right now my hitting is on all star and pitching on hall of fame. I am 32-19 at the end of May. 0.5 games ahead of the Stankees. Only guys above .300 are Mookie Betts (.301) and Pedroia (.331, 8th in MLB). Big Papi has 12 homers, Napoli 8, Sandoval 7, Bogaerts 4. My full team:

                              C- Swihart, Vasquez
                              1B- Napoli
                              2B- Pedroia
                              SS- Bogaerts
                              3B- Sandoval
                              LF- Hanley
                              CF-Mookie
                              RF- Rusney Castillo
                              DH- Big Papi
Bench: Jordan Schaefer (OF, 97 speed), Brock Holt, Jonathan Villar

SP-Johnny Cueto, Clay Bucholz, Eduardo Rodriguez, Rick Porcello, Wade Miley
Relivers- Joe Kelly, Justin Masterson, Alexi Ogando, Junichi Tazawa, Koji Uehara, Tyler Clippard, Arodlis Chapman

Re: Playing every game in Franchise

I attempted to do this with one Franchise. got through 2 months playing every game, but the temptation of simming a few to get to a specific date got the best of me.

Playing that way, though, I feel as if you become more invested with the players you have on your team and vice versa. I drafted a catcher with my first pick in the first draft, and I kept him on my team as long as I could because playing so many games with him made me feel as if he was someone I wanted to stick around for the long haul. Plus, you'll just get more time to experience those players being on your team and how they play. It's really difficult to find the patience to play all 162 games, but I think it would be a blast. It was when I first attempted, anyway.

If you want to keep the games as short as possible, you can do what I do and fast forward through the half innings your team is pitching and only control the batting. This will prevent you from dominating every game on both sides. Plus, it's pretty awesome when you're down 6-0 in the 3rd like I was once and very slowly work your way back in it and winning with a walk off in the 9th. Plus, the computer does a pretty decent job of knowing when to switch pitchers, so more times than not, it's pretty safe to fast forward a half inning when pitching and let the CPU handle it.
