In batting practice use the bat control mode. It shows you where the pitch will be located and you and practice moving to locations. That's what I use.

The best way you're going to get better is to just practice and keep at it. The longer you use it the easier it will become.

I notice sometimes I get lazy and don't follow the ball completely with my eye. When half-staring at my PCI and the ball, it really gets me into trouble. Usually resulting in getting on top of, or popping the ball up.

When I get super focused and follow the ball completely to the plate, I always have good at bats. I don't even need to look at the PCI, I just naturally move it where my eye is focusing.

Perhaps you should try playing with the PCI invisible?

Don't have that dumb PCI on the screen at all. It just annoys you like a shot meter in 2K.
