There hasn't been and probably wont be a 1.05 patch. Last one was 1.04.

Now THATS weird..because when I turned my system on(apx 2pm EST) I got asked to download the latest software(1.05)

Highlight MLB The Show on your main menu, press options, and go to update history. Double check the version you're on.

I haven't gotten a 1.05 and I just did a check for update - mine still shows 1.04.

I'll give it a shot(I should note Im playing it on the 3 so my menu might be different than the 4)

Patch release today, July 10th, 2015: With the support of the community and all the detailed reports, the MLB development team was able to track down and fix a significant memory leak that was resulting in a crash/loss of progress in Franchise mode. More significant on the PS3, but affected some users on the PS4 as well. The issue involved equipping multiple sponsorships in Franchise mode, and progressing through significant days on the schedule. This patch should address that issue and stabilize other memory intensive functions within the title. Thank you for your detailed reports and your patience.
