I love this game (obviously), but as I continue to play my Pirates franchise I was tied with the Cards at 14-8 and starting a 3 game series with them. Now I play the first and last game of each series, sim the middle ones.
We go on to sweep the Cardinals on the road in convincing fashion. Marte is batting over .400, McCutchen went 7 for 12, 4HR 12RBIs in the series! We outscored them 23-6 in three games.
I'm feeling good and get that feeling we all get of "Man, I think I need to bump uo the difficulty!" But then some things start to happen that just do in baseball.
Starling Marte who was batting .390 breaks his ankle and is now out until late June. Jeff Locke was rocked early a game after starting 3-0 with a 2.68era. I lost the next series against Cincy and due to play a rubber match against the Cardinals only 2.5gms up in the division.
This game has made me enjoy baseball more than I ever would have without it. I find myself watching games on tv even lol. Can't say that about any other sports title. Great game that only gets better!!
