MLB the show simmed team batting averages too low and other questions...

Playing MLB 14 and loving it, but while the individual leaders numbers seem right, the team batting averages seem low. There also may be too many shutouts.

Did you find this to be an issue as well? What other stats are off, that I should take a look at.

Do sliders affect the sim stats?

Check out Nomo's, Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 14 Version]
I cant get the link to come across. Look at slider section, go into Nomo's Stat based for 15 and the link for 14 is in post 1.

Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
    CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

I can't really imagine that team averages would be too low....it could be b/c you are still early in your season(?). But team BA usually fall between .270 (usually the highest....I think KC is in the high .270's IRL) and .230 (I think the Cubs are in the bottom half and are hitting in the high .230s). So unless there are like 5+ teams under .230 I wouldn't worry about it too much.

There are stats that are somewhat off in the game though, like shutouts as you already mentioned.
      Chicago Cubs
      Michigan Wolverines

Twice I've gotten to the 50 game mark playing every game and .248 average would be in the 5 to 10 range and there were a couple teams right at below .200. Not a huge deal, just seemed like if I would have added 10 to 15 points to each teams number, they would have fallen in line with real life.

Using a roster with stat based rerates will definitely help the stats quite abit from stock rosters.

Only real issue I have, and its been that way for as long as I have played this game and that's too many complete games. It can be partially fixed with roster edits, and sliders, but it wont be perfect even then.

IRL the game has become pitching dominate and once you get a few seasons in even with a good roster that's been rerated the pitching dominance does get a little crazy, and unless you do a lot of editing to tone it done it cant be fixed.

Its definitely something that the devs need to get fixed, it use to be too much offense, but the last couple years its been a little to pitching dominated.
