Honestly, I don't know how much clearer they can be. Every time you approach a significant date, the pop up message will tell you in full detail that it's the last day of this or that. You don't even have to choose the date significance option, really.

You can easily learn everything faster by booting up a practice 'chise and use it to practice and get used to everything in the offseason without worrying about screwing stuff up with your main 'chise. Plus, there's always the save option. Just save before each event so if yoiu make a mistake, just simply reboot the save and make sure you get it right the second time. Easy peasy.
I don't think it's fair to assume everyone has time to run an entire "practice franchise" just for the sake of learning. Also, there's no way to start already in the offseason, you have to set up your franchise and then sim an entire season first.

And lastly, all the stuff you describe is buried within the other strategy/info, but what is being suggested is the implementation of a direct guiding system. One that prompts you to let you know what is going on, instead of leaving it up to you to spend valuable time exploring and trying to figure it out on your own.

I think it's fair to assume that. If you have time to sit and play games then you have time to sit and sim a season to learn the offseason and how it works. That's what I do to see how the offseason is gonna work. Know one says you have to play the "practice franchise", just sim it through.

Simming still takes time though. And that isn't a rational argument, in that case why do we have any time-saving options at all? Why even allow cutscenes to be skipped? By your argument, if you have time to play games, don't you have time to watch cutscenes?

Time is not absolute. Just because someone "has time" doesn't mean they have endless amounts of time. The object is still valuable, limited, and should be considered, regardless of how much of it one has or doesn't have.

I think you misunderstood me. If you can sit and play a game which takes 30-60 minutes to play. Then you most certainly can sit and sim a season, which will take all of 5 minutes, to get to the offseason and see how it works. I wasn't referring to playing games and cutscenes. I was just talking about getting to the offseason and seeing how it works.

Yeah, it really doesn't take much time to sim a season in franchise to get to the offseason. Seeing as it's a practice franchise, you don't have to worry about any decisions. Just sim. Takes 10 minutes, tops.

It's not buried within anything, either. You can see Handbook written on the bottom right of the front 'League Updates' page. And let's not forget, when starting a new Franchise, they specifically show you where you can locate the Handbook in the menus, so there really is no exploring or figuring it out on your own that has to be done.

And lastly, they already have a crap load of prompts that pop up when you reach a significant date letting you know which group of players you have to tend to before you should advance past that date. Every offseason deadline/significant event is marked with a gold star. I guess I'm just not understanding how much more convenient they can make it. It really doesn't take that long to learn the offseason rules using the Handbook, and once you learn them completely, you'll never have to refer back to it again. I'd be willing to bet if you spent just one hour learning everything about the offseason, you'd be set for good. It really does not take as long as you may think.
