    another lost no-no

I just lost another no-hitter after 8 2/3 because the shortstop animation where he waits deep for a backhand. It was especially frustrating because I lost the perfect game in the 8th thanks to consecutive bad calls followed by a popup that I couldn't catch in the stands at 3rd base.

After giving up the infield single, I did the only logical thing and drilled the next hitter up and in.

Never lost a no hitter that way, but I've had that happen plenty of times. Definitely frustrating.

There are a couple animations that I have noticed in this years Show. The shortstop seems to have it the worst though. The one I see most often is the SS moving into the 3B hole. Gets to the ball no problem then stops, digs around in his glove, makes a cup of coffee, then finally throws the ball. Its absurd how long it takes from the point of catching the ball to actually throwing it. I have given up numerous No Nos and one Perfect due to this very problem. Its quite aggravating.

Man, that is really painful. I feel for you. Fielding is too heavily animation-driven that it is my single biggest frustration with the game, and totally agree with BDrizz, especially the coffee part! Even still, I am having an overall great time with it having my second ever go at playing a full season (currently at August 3rd).

Playing Franchise with the Yankees, I traded Ivan Nova for Henderson Alvarez and for his first start, he went 8 2/3 before giving up a hit to the final batter. A-Rod dropped a pop foul which would have been the 3rd out and on the very next pitch he gave up a single to CF.

Of course. Or if this was MLB14 - try to pick him off.

Give up a hit, then erase him. Almost the same :P
