What the biggest longstanding uniform problems?

I love The Show. Baseball is a passion for me like it is for many of us. Yet I have been wondering about other people and what their thoughts are on one of its smaller but rather HUGE issues. Uniforms.

I thought a thread could place the BIGGEST issues at hand. This doesn't really mean small things that no one will notice but the big ones, the ones that make it hard for you to make it through an entire season and have you anticipating the dread of next year when the problem is not fixed.

For me it is the Twins Road jerseys. The pants don't have a stripe and yes it is at this point just not really forgivable. For me, with Sony being in charge of MLB at this point, it has come to the point where someone at the head of the team, whether corporate or not, needs to get off their duff and get things done. This is an official MLB game. Uniforms need to be fixed. I don't care about a style guide. Discussions need to happen with people in the right places. This is what professional businesses do.

The other thing is the misaligned numbers on jerseys without names. Honestly, and I am being truthful here, these are the biggest things I want fixed, personally, for next year. Yes, above franchise, graphics, stadiums, sounds, and everything else. Seems crazy but it is true.

What do you guys think? What are the other main problems with team jerseys?

You may not care about the Style Guide. But if MLB says they have to follow it. Then they have no choice. End of story.

I just think all of the road greys need to be more grey. They look almost white. The only ones that really look grey enough are the NL East teams (except for the Braves) for some reason.

The Rockies black vest top. The cut is wrong and the undershirt is wrong. Also the omission of the purple and camo unis they wear.

I think it's worth pointing out that, I believe it was woodweaver, said that they are working on addressing the uniform issues that have been brought up. I don't remember what exactly he said, but to me knowing they are aware addressing the "issues" is a good thing.

I just think all of the road greys need to be more grey. They look almost white. The only ones that really look grey enough are the NL East teams (except for the Braves) for some reason.

^^^This, and you can get a lot of 'bang for your buck' with one change.

The way they write players' names. The letters are far too skinny and smushed together the longer the name gets, rather than wrapping around the number in a semicircle so the name is still legible.

For the past few seasons I put up the uniform errors and omissions thread. You can search if you want to resurrect it. As a pirate fan, they destroyed the Sunday throwbacks. Wrong socks, wrong fonts, and the pirates logo is on the sleeve...not to mention the template of buttons and belts instead of pullovers and elastic waistbands.

Was there a reason they weren't able to do the matte batting helmets for the Pirates? I know the D'Backs use matte, too, but I don't think I've played them, yet, so I duno if they have theirs or not.

Probably two reasons 1. They pulled them out in spring training and 2. Glossy coating may be a game wide template like the button down jerseys (or matte would be another color to program)
