Pinch hit for guy on deck??

Why can't I do this?? Using quick counts, this really hurts me at times. I have to wait for the pitcher to come to the plate, get his crappy 0-2 or 1-2 count. Then pinch hit with an actual hitter. Makes no sense! Is it a rule that says a team cannot do this??

Pitchers are supposed to always have a 1-1 count.

I'm not sure, maybe they do. But other guys don't. When I have Pedro Alvarez 0-3 for the day with three strikeouts and he's on deck, I'd like to pinch hit for him before he gets to the plate with a terrible 0-2 or 1-2 count. Which he undoubtedly deserves at this point.

Yeah i agree. I wish they would just fine a way to re do the count when pinch hitting or changing pitchers.

Yes, changing pitchers mid inning is another issue with quick counts. I agree, easiest way to correct is to have the quick count reset.

I play on the PS3 so this might be different, but if it is a situation where you might PH for the pitcher the computer always stops the game when using quick counts and suggests hitting for the pitcher before the pitcher steps in the box.

Has anyone seen this on the PS4?

Yes it does that. And I'm still on ps3 as well

I just want to bump this up again. Very frustrating for someone using quick counts. The count needs to reset when another batter comes in, and new pitcher comes in the middle of an inning.

Reaaaally wish they'd address this problem. At least be able to simply pinch hit for the guy on deck prior to him coming to the plate.

The only thing I can suggest you do is submit a bug report to the link below and hope it can get worked on sorry man!

I feel like those of us who have been playing the series since earlier iterations are immediately aware of these types of issue and can cause a huge disappointment when compared to the new users or the recent reviews that have been written on this game.
