Swinging strikes with a runner on base

Has anyone else noticed when you have a runner on base and you swing and miss at the plate the runner on base will trot about halfway to the next base for no apparent reason? Then magically return to the base he was at with no consequence...you can even see this happen on instant replay.

Yes, I have seen this happening for a long time now.

Yeah it's caught my eye. I wasn't sure if it was just on check swings or all swinging strikes. I was collecting videos of it to submit a bug report but I'm not sure if it's worth reporting at this point.

It might not be an actual bug, but it's definitely not realistic.

It's been happening since the game came out for me. Really can't believe that there's just now a thread for this lol. It's very frustrating and unrealistic.

It happens when you swing at a pitch that's in the dirt. It's as if the runner(s) think the ball has been foul tipped and is a dead ball. I'm guessing the catcher blocks the ball cleanly and there's no chance for an advance.

I've noticed it since the first day this game was out. It was so obvious to me that I figured it was a known bug. I guess I should have followed up with a bug report on it.

Same, I searched for threads about it but couldn't find any but I assumed it was just my inability to decipher the search function.

I saw this since the game came out but didn't want to point it out because I've already pointed out so many other flaws with the game and got berated for them.
