    CPU Tag ability.

Why are the CPU players so much better at making a tag? This is my biggest frustration with the game so far. I have played around 100 games of The Show 2015 and I can throw the CPU players out by 3-5 feet and my guys won't tag them in time. But, I can be inches away from reaching a base and the CPU player will get the ball and tag me out. Ok, not much of a rant, but it's over.

I've seen it cut both ways. There have been a few times where the CPU threw me out by a mile but the guy covering the base just plain whiffs on the tag. I'd agree that I see my players whiff more often than the CPU, but I think that's partially because I'm generally more conservative on the base paths than the CPU is.

I've got to say from my personal experience recently, the CPU is just as bad at tagging baserunners. I've slid past multiple easy tags for triples and plays at home. I guess for me I think it's fair to go both ways, because I can think of a missed tag on a triple and then a play at the plate as well for the next batter that netted me a very important run in the WS.

Anybody else noticed sometimes the whole tag looks like a scripted animation. Like if its not real time but the game already decides way before whether the runner will be tagged out or not.
Ive seen that both on third base and home that my baseman got the ball yet he hesitated a second before applying the tag and that resulted in the runner to reach safely. Ill take a video of it the next time it happens to me.

This is so frustrating for me also, especially catcher tags that should be made.

I've seen the hesitation but I usually think it's because the player doesn't want to get penalized for blocking the base. Again I've seen the CPU hesitate on the tag as well. Usually happens if the catch occurs after the player has already started sliding.

I figure the hesitation is due to the fact that the player catching the ball is focused on that, and it takes him a moment to pick up the runner after making the catch.

It's a tricky thing to program. If the rapid catch tag were put into the game, then they would also have to program in the possibility that the tagger could be called for blocking the base, which might piss people off more. It's a good system as it is right now I think, though I only play offline and I hear online is an entirely different experience.

I promised id upload a video if I would see it again and there it is:
This actually occured to me for the first time and its just bad, like there is clearly a big hesitation and it even looks like there's a jump from one animation to another at around 0:04 in the video.

              What do you guys say?

Wow! I have thrown guys out further from the bag, but my guy has never left the bag and then come back to try and tag him...That is the hesitation I am seeing from my players most of the time and from the CPU never.
