    Pinch hitting with a pitcher

I could have sworn someone here told me this was possible.

But now I just tried it and I was forced to leave the pitcher in the game.

Am I missing something, or is it still not possible to use a pitcher as a pinch hitter in this game?

I did this once as well and it made me keep my pitcher in the game. I used Travis Wood, a decent hitter and one of my starters at the time, and it made me keep him in. It was kind of frustrating because he was starting the following day.

Yeah I was pinch hitting with Jacob DeGrom, who had just pitched the day before. He had absolutely nothing left, stamina wise, it's a wonder I even got through the at-bat.

On a team with so many pitchers that hit well, it's a big let down to know that this is still impossible in the game.
