    Fantasy Draft

I'm just wondering how some of you guys draft? I don't know a ton about baseball and it seems like after I have a few guys I get lost and end up with either some average to below averages guys starting, no real depth, or bad pitching.

So I guess what I'm really looking for is what rounds am I looking for what types of players and positions? Like the first few picks of the draft and then the middle of the draft and that kind of stuff. I also don't know when to start looking for relief pictures and my 4th and 5th starters, etc. It'd also be nice to know what positions are the most and least valuable.

Any kind of personal draft guides would really help. I'm really just looking for people's opinions who know the sport a little better than me.

    Re: Fantasy Draft

When I draft I pretty much only look for players who are young. I don't want someone who is on the decline in their career and I want to build my team for the future. There are no guidelines that will make you have a great fantasy draft. You just have to decide what kind of team you want to build and then draft guys to fit that profile. Once you have your MLB team it will help if you know a lot of the young, talented prospects to build up your farm system.

FD is this game are very tricky. CPU drafts based on overall and position requirements and really doesn't take potential into factor so you'll have your Joc Pederson's, and your Kris Bryant much later than if humans were drafting. There are also rounds when the computer takes the same position for all 30 teams so if you like going young on your team you will found a lot of young talent later than in real life.

So what rounds does the computer start drafting certain positions? Like Wade Davis and Betances and some of the top relief pitchers are available or a while, but then all of a sudden there's a round where all the good ones are practically all gone. And I have a hard time finding an ace pitcher I want after the first round.

I believe Round 8 is when every computer team selects Relief Pitchers. Closing Pitchers will go quick so depending on if your roster is listing Betances as a RP or a CP he'd prob be the first pick off the board in Round 8 as a RP but prob go in the first 4 rounds as a CP. Davis goes as one of the first few RP's off the board. If you want an ACE pitchers you're better off using your first 2 selections on pitchers because they tend to go quick!
