Re: Managers and Base Coaches that are in the game
I'm on PS3, but I don't think it really matters.
NY Mets:
MGR - Terry Collins
PC - Dan Warthen
3B - Tim Teufel
On a side note, I really wish that we could edit the made up coaches like we can with the made up players. It's a little pet peeve of mine going on 7 years now. -

Re: Managers and Base Coaches that are in the game
My biggest pet peeve aside from not being able to edit coaches and managers is the fact that if a coach/manager switches teams or roles they are taken out, ie Kevin Seitzer left Toronto for Atlanta and isn't in this year.
I would like to see if not editable coaches maybe SCEA move coaches/managers to the not hired list if they leave or are fired by their team. So Ron Gardenhire or Dusty Baker could be an option to hire instead of generic Joe.
Would also like to see bench coaches instead of Farm Directors in the coaching staff. Most bench coaches become the next managers so it would give more options for a user to hire to replace their managers if they want.
Lastly attributes do not match what coaches are doing. Pitching coaches make better hitting coaches attribute wise and vice versa.
Coaches for Blue Jays in game are
Mgr - John Gibbons
Hitting coach - missing, should be Brook Jacoby
Pitching Coach - Pete Walker
1st Base Coach - Tim Leiper
3rd Base Coach - Luis Rivera
Farm Director- missing, Should be Sal Fasano
One thing I applaud SCEA on is using their last player model on Chris Woodward in Seattle instead of one of the weird faces they put on coaches.

Re: Managers and Base Coaches that are in the game
The Cardinals have Matheny, Derek Lilliquist as pitching coach, Chris Maloney as 1B coach, and Jose Oquendo as 3B coach.
For some reason, the Cardinals have always had a generic hitting coach.Comment

Re: Managers and Base Coaches that are in the game
Normally you have the head coach, and pitching coach only but on occasions either the 1b or 3rd base coach are added. Its very rare for 1 team have all there correct coaches.
I also would like to see previous players in the game still if there coaches on teams. If SCEA had once had there player model I think they should add them to the game if they can get the okay by the players to be used. I am sure why most are not included is legal stuff. To have them available to be sign for us to at least put them on the right teams would be great.

Re: Managers and Base Coaches that are in the game
LOL I just realised you can actually view all the managers and coaches that are in the game within your franchise via 'contracts'. I thought you could only see them when you're playing with or against that particular team. I didn't understand why no one was replying to this thread. Thanks to those that replied anyway.
