    Software Update? What happened? (PS3)

So, I have been away since late July waiting for my favorite roster to finish (Willard Hybrid roster shoutout). I've been away for a bit. I noticed there was a software update. I did the same sliders I had before, and Willard's roster changed ratings, but not scaling, so I should have been set. However, the amount of crap that ensued in that game seemed a little much. I noticed another topic, but it seemed kind of weird, so I'll try this.

First off, fielding was garbage. I had 4 errors, one of which was Mauer catching a grounder and running to first and missing it once completely (before if you got them close they'd go to it), and I had enough time to regroup and he went through the step on the bag animation and missed it again. And the thing was, I still had enough time to try once more to hit it, but the animation didn't let me. Second error was Randal Grichuk camped under a can of corn he walked like three steps to get. But I noticed it was in a 2 outs 2 on situation, so I guess the CPU needed some runs. Then Chisenhall, out in right, drops two cans of corn, allowing more runs. One of Chisenhall's I'm OK with, but all 4 is not OK, especially with guys like Mauer and Grichuk. Had a couple more, including one where Carpenter just ran over the top of a ball and didn't try to get it.

Pitching control is out the window. Seriously, completely gone. Not sure what happened here, but Gerrit Cole was impossible to throw strikes. Not to mention the hits.

I also had a really bad glitch that crapped me out of an out. Grichuk led off an inning with a home run. Then Mauer comes up and foul tips one into the catchers mitt for a K. The Aramis Ramirez comes up with 2 outs. And I know what you're thinking, I was too, so I checked the recap. Cardinals batting, Miller (or something) in the bullpen. Grichuk homers. Mauer strikes out swinging. That was all it said. Yet I had two outs against me.

I'm on PS3, but there's literally nothing going on on that board, and I wondered if anyone else had any of this. I mean, that's one game, I can't play more like that. I really don't want to find slider sweet spots anymore, why on earth do they think this is a good idea? We've all fixed their game by the time they try to do it.

Hate to tell you but it may be time to save up the $500 for a Ps4 (I known it is easier said then done). I haven't seen these issues yet myself on the ps4

Oh I'm already doing that. Just not this year. I think this was the last year for it on 3. Still doesn't detract from the fact that they put out this game. I expect it to work.

You don't care where I sent this from.

wow.... I'm on ps3 too, and I don't get all this errors... Try some sliders... Or maybe, no offense, you have to improve your game

No offense to you, but did you read my post? All 4 errors and the glitch were completely out of my control. And I wasn't complaining about anything other than the immediate difference in control I felt while pitching. I am not a great player, but what exactly could I have improved to get a different result?

Well, I messed with some sliders, and I had one error the next game, on a hard hit ball at Ramirez at third. (it went through his torso, but I understood what they were going for, I'll forgive that sin). I got rubber banded a bit, but whatever, that's not new. It was just such a stark mechanic change, it struck me as quite odd. It took some slider adjustment (two in some cases, which is pretty big for some things in this game) but it seems to be back on par, so I guess I just had some stupid luck. It was just odd I hadn't seen that before and it happened that game.

You don't care where I sent this from.

Yeah, but considering I played a LOT of games before, it was an immediately different feel. I wouldn't have said anything, but something definitely changed.

humm... yeah... I don't really care, when you're only played one game... stop complaining and adapt yourself to the game. This game is close to perfect

You keep saying adapt myself, there is literally no way for me to change the outcome of any of that. I can't camp under the flies for longer, I can't make the pitch motion any better, I can't stop glitches. Btw, Carpenter ran over the top of a grounder and didn't try to catch it in the two following games, and I had another can of corn dropped. I don't need you to repeat trite comments and ignore what I'm saying, I just want to see if anyone else felt a gameplay shift.
