General Question

okay, so I've been playing The Show for quite some time. And this has nothing to do with gameplay of the game.

I hope some of you are like myself, if not, I feel like a nerd.

Do any of you sit at work (like myself) or at school, whatever your situation is, and just think about your franchise you have going on? in the midst of doing your 9-5, do plan ahead of what you want to do? whether it's a trade or an offseason signing.

I know it's Friday and all, but I get the itch to play this game so bad while I'm at work. that all I can think about is how my team is doing, what direction I want to go with the team, rebuilding wise.

I really feel like a nerd but it's the dam truth.

I do the same... Sure a lot of us with desk jobs probably do that... Then I go home and lose and play something else

Yes. I do this with The Show, NBA 2K and Madden, CH2K8 and NCAA 14.

I actually keep a notebook with notes from my franchise as if it were real. I am always tracking stats, making notes on players and teams. Keeping track of the whole organization including the minors. Even when I am watching or doing something else I will get an idea or want to check a stat and out comes the notebook.

I probably almost failed Spanish in High School because of my daydreaming antics for whatever NHL video game was out that year. Nowadays at my actual job, It's MLB The Show that keeps me thinking how I can tweak my lineup to get the most out of it, or how I would build a team from the ground up in a Fantasy Draft.

The Show and NCAA football are the two games that can occupy my mind at any time of the day. I can only play one at a time (right now I'm neck deep in The Show), but I'm always thinking about moves, lineups, trades - or - recruiting, playbooks, and scheduling.

NB - I play almost exclusively franchise on The Show (a little RTTS), but Dynasty mode only on NCAA. I don't even know if I'll by Madden this year.

Its constantly occupying my mind as well. Its really one of the most immersive games for me it seems. Not sure why, maybe its because as you go through a long season, playing most of the games, you become attached to the players, constantly weighing options of who to send down, who is on fire in the minors, etc. And then when watching real life, Im always comparing the real life players to how they are doing in my franchise. For example, the Twins are playing the Astros and my first thought was when watching the games was how I can NEVER get Jose Altuve out.

And now after typing that, I have the urge to go play my third game of the day...

i absolutely love this game. i always want to play it when i know i have other things i need to do. the Bugs in the game bug me but i live with it because i just love to play the game. cant wait for 16
