Why? Because it's not a sell-able bullet point. Think about it, SDS comes out with MLB The Show 16: Now with retractable roofs!
I don't really think that's going to sell more copies of the show.
But there are those of us who are crying out for retractable roofs. There is nothing more immersion breaking than seeing my Blue Jays play in April with the roof wide open in cold weather gear. It bothers me every time and takes me out of the experience. And I know I'm not the only one.
The only way we are going to get retractable roofs into the game is by going to the forums and discussing it, and with gusto. It might be too late for 16, I imagine the development process has already started, but it's not too late to make the devs realize this needs to be a priority.
Questionable fielding animations? I get it. That's tough to nail down.
Broken progression/regression? Understandable. It's tough to balance and unpredictable at best in real life.
Legacy issues with the ball hitting the pitcher then being fielded? The physics engine does what it does, you are just doing your best to make it realistic and that caused pitchers to get hit too often. If they got injured every time healthy pitching population would be unrealistically low.
But not closing roofs during unfavorable weather? I feel like that's something that should have ended with the 16 bit era. We're in 2015 for crying out loud.
So unite my fellow players who play in retractable roof stadiums. Unite and discuss. Because it's the only way it's going to happen now.
