So the CPU auto squeeze bunt every bases loaded happen 2 years in a row?

This happened all the time last year and still happens this year. Frustrating that the cpu squeezes each and every time the bases are loaded. And it seems automatic that it will be a run all the time

Yea Yea I know the show defenders will start to say I dont understand how difficult this close to game breaking bug is...But come on...


I am leading 5-4 and they load bases with no outs. The power hitter comes up who never bunts and bunts and squeezes easily and my third baseman slow mo to the ball and the hitter beats it out. Tie game

Bases still loaded. No outs

Next hitter squeezes again and I throw out hitter at first but 2 runs have now scored. Happens each and every time

Weird, I don't think I've ever seen this. And I've probably played several hundred games.

Is this with quick counts or without?

So you never had the cpu have bases loaded with less then 2 outs and squeeze each and every time with guaranteed success?

I do not use quick counts. I play straight HOF level

I had it happen once. I was so shocked they actually did a squeeze.

The next batter I brought my corner infielders in. Fool me once.... you know the saying.

That kept them from squeezing a second time.

I've seen the cpu squeeze but never with bases loaded. I've had them squeeze with a runner on 3rd and less than two outs, but it certainly doesn't happen all the time.

The pitch is the key. First something low, hard & away,
preferably a fastball or slider, or cutter. Then high & inside.
Stay well outside the strikezone until you have 2 balls or 2 strikes.

Ive seen it happen multiple times. It's just stupid for the CPU to do that from a strategy point regardless. I've seen the CPU squeeze bunt, bases loaded, no outs, with Matt Kemp up to bat. I just happened to throw him something down and away, missed the bunt, tagged the runner out at home, intentionally walked Kemp, next batter hit into a double play. So it's not automatic for them to get it to work.

I've also seen it happen 3 times against me in the same series against I think it was the brewers, all three times it worked for the CPU.

I think the reason they do it is your strike %. I throw a ton of strikes, probably more than I should in the zone. Maybe that's why it happens against some players and not others.

Nope, I have never once seen this. I play with quick counts on. Maybe that is a factor. I play hall of fame pitching and all-star hitting.

Perhaps because it might be 1 or 2 strikes on QC?

A lot of times if I can make them foul it off, they don't try it again with a 1-strike count vs when it's 0-0.

I don't know if that's what it is - but I play with "classic" counts and I know I see what the OP sees frequently and with little/no regard to the man at the plate (and his bunt rating).

Its odd because I heard a lot of people saying this months ago but I don't see it at all. Between last year and this year I have seen the CPU try to bunt with the bases loaded twice yes just twice and in the history of mlb the show games I own from 08-15 I have seen the CPU only try to bunt like 4 times other then a picture trying to move up a player or a player trying to get a base hit with no one on base. So I don't see odd bunt attempts at all like other people do. I don't get it.

Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed this, but not with bases loaded but with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. The worst of this is in a game I just played against the rays, they suicide squeezed 3 times in one game, once in the 8th and twice in the 9th and one of them was with a runner on 1st and 3rd with longoria at the plate and he missed the bunt but the runner still scored because my catcher just stood there and after that happened Jaso was on 2nd and he stole 3rd and then longoria proceeded to lay down a suicide squeeze to score jaso. it was so annoying that I actually rage quitted
