Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
Congrats man. In all the years that I've played video game baseball, I've never throw a no-no.
And hey, we care.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
as long as your not a current start the year correct roster whore you can always carry over your current franchise you start when the new game comes out. no more having to kill yourself to play as many seasons as possible in one year to get in as much as you you can with your team before you start over...
i started my current franchise in 14 and am about to finish my 15 season in the current game. So by the time the new game comes out i will be ready to start my 16 season. This year however i am going to wait until the new game drops to go through spring training due to the schedules.
love this game it is the only game for now i own on the ps4 and if time allowed (if i could in the lottery or publishers clearing house) i would play this game every day all day all year round..
all hail SCEA SD....

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
Recently did something like this to get the updated rosters and carry over my save into 16
As for the OP, it's only too late if you don't play it enough.
I don't play madden anymore but admittedly once the NBA season starts 2K cuts out a good chunk of my The Show time.

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
Well, you can count me as a new franchise starter. Oh, I'm still working on my single team franchise which is ready to take me into August. Just now, I completed Ridin's late season rosters with some fixes and ready for a 30 team control. Intrigued with ratings and player moves more reflective to the current season.

I actually just started a new Franchise using both a AL and a NL team. So I am playing a double franchise actually. Im having a blast with it.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
I just started on 14 with plans to import to 15(when 14 season is over) and then 16 when I catch up date wise. I just had to have Ike Davis on my Mets roster. Always liked him even though he has fizzled out in real life.
I don't really post my franchise progress a lot but I love reading others.Comment

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
Nope, just repurchased a PS4, mostly because of the show, started a new franchise to start fresh and dedicated. I also just got one of those BenQ monitors, wow what a difference, hitting is so much better now with zero lag

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
Best thing I ever did as far as the Show is concerned. My hitting went from Rookie+ to Veteran+/ borderline All Star when I got one.Comment

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
My wife is amazed that I only play the Show year round. Said she never knew someone who can play one game year round and not get tired of it. A combo of being a baseball nut and a fantastic game year after year.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
I bought Madden a couple months ago but only played it a few times. I'm definitely dedicated to MLB The Show. Having a lot of fun playing, particularly, with the MLB playoffs being good so far too.Comment

Re: Too late to start a new franchise??
I'm going to wait until the new game comes out to start a new franchise. Not sure if I'm going to carry over my existing Cubs franchise or just start a new one.
However, I've been having a lot of fun with RTTS. I made 4 characters:
1. Myself as a speedy SS (carryover from 14).
2. Power hitting 1B
3. Starting pitcher
4. Closer
I usually play each character until they have a bad outing, and then I switch to the next. It should hold me over until the playoffs are done as I tend to switch over to Madden.
