    What is the challenge, exactly?

I'm interested in trying it. I want to either silence the believers or non-believers, and put an end to these threads myself or let them live on haha.

It sounds like what you're saying is repeat an inning over and over (from a save, maybe) and report the results, possibly more particularly a defensive inning where you gave up several runs at one point (in which case we'll have to save the game beforehand in the instance that that happens, which is probably what takes the longest). If so, consider me intrigued...

I don't know know if there is any scripting going on or not, I'm just hoping the developers wouldn't degrade a AAA game with something so 80's.

Community Challenges allow you to replay an exact customized scenario multiple times. So you could set up a late-game situation (including adjusting pitcher energy and confidence, I believe), and see how it plays out each time.

Not too sure what's all been said about the comeback code but after playng a delerious amount of this series there is one thing that DOES in fact happen very very often, if you score 3 runs or more in one half inning the opposing team will almost always score one run back. The game will cause errors, or have a non home run threat take u over the wall. This is with quick counts however.

I don't know if this is related or not. I had a foul ball once go into the crowd, and the first basemen dove and the ball magically went into his glove

I was just about to post a similar thing. I don't believe games or innings are scripted, but I do feel there is a higher frequency of errors, miscues, HRs/gap shots in the inning after an opponent scores (or, generally, in later innings, 8th or 9th). In my two games since I started playing again, I won the first after getting a runner on 1st after a strikeout & wild pitch and a 2-run HR with 2 outs in the 9th. In the other game, in the 8th, I had a 2-out fly deflect off Trout that allowed a run to score, then gave up a HR. The next inning I scored 2 on 3 hits and 1 error.

That....sounds like the Wrigley Field bug - a 100% occurrence if the ball is hit into the right spot in the stands vs the CPU. Is that where this happened?

                  Example (but with a RF):

                  <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Gbgj_LwrTSw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's not scripting. It's a flat-out bug that was identified by the developers as being un-patchable this year. There is a way around it though - after seeing it a few times you'll know when it's coming (it definitely doesn't happen on every foul ball, just ones in a certain location), and when it does pause and switch teams. It'll break the CPU's pursuit and make it unable to make the glitched catch.

I play on legend and still do not notice it....never have. I am curious what difficulty everyone is playing on where they see these things.

I said you're undermining a lot of OS'ers by saying everybody on that team knows a lot more about baseball than anybody on OS and it is fact. Obviously I'm stretching the words and tone a bit, but that was kind of the claim as it appears. If you didn't say that, then we should just let it be.

For the record, we all know a lot of MLB players that seem to know squat about their own sport, lol.
Show me where I said that.

(and I'm sure he meant it mostly by how much they played the game at a certain level)

                          I'd say that's a fair assessment.

I don't think there are many minor league or MLB level players here on O.S.

.....and I also doubt that bk meant to lower the level of O.S. as much as to further assert that the dev team doesn't know the game from a playing aspect is absurd.

Gamers are fickle folks. What they want is to win the vast majority of the time, in a way that feels completely sim.

I think we've firmly established that those who think the game is scripted are responsible for the burden of proof.

I'm letting all of those who think the game has a comeback code know right now though, you're going to have to present some SOLID evidence in order to get me to even listen to you, considering the numerous times I've shut down the CPU late in close games.

Exactly, but winning the vast majority of the time doesn't always happen in a sim, thus making them feel Its rigged.
