Shows MLB 15 the show as being playable...wonder if that is a typo and it was meant to say MLB 16.

or maybe they're ditching the yearly release in favour of incremental updates to the base game and giving the devs a full development cycle!

I suppose that the typo explanation is more likely. A man can dream though.

I didn't realize in till like yesterday that this was coming up so soon lol. I also forgot that today is December 1st and we normally get are first news about the next game around this time.

Please...this game needs to be "next gen"...so much more they need to improve upon.

Even though MLB the show is great ever year we really need a big jump in graphics. Last gen MLB the show had by far the best graphics of any of the major sports games. Now so far this gen it has the worst. NBA 2k, NHL and madden all look better. Also franchise mode need to have a big upgrade. Just not a lot to do with it and hope they had highlights or something to that radio show thing of last year. Would be great if they could turn it into a radio show.

Although I personally think MLB 15 The Show PS4 version still is a very pretty game to look at no doubt about it the other sports games truly have that "Next Gen" look while MLB The Show still kind of looks to much like the PS3 version with enhanced HD graphics.

Getting the player models completely redone for PS4 up to NBA 2K16 standards would be a good start!

New character models would pretty high on my list as well, along with more accurate face scanning tech. The stadiums and uniforms are already amazing, now it's time to bring the rest of the visuals up to standards.

Anyway, did we figure out if we're getting 16 info in two days? I'm guessing not.

Uniforms are far from amazing IMO. They don't move in the wind, they look stiff, no uniform options really (as far as fit/buttons), sweaty hats for some reason still exist.

This game is far behind graphically compared to other games

Yeah NBA 2k 15 and 16 blow me away graphically look almost photo realistic at times. Madden is not at that level but still looks better then mlb. Nhl like NBA can look almost realistic at times. I think over all MLB 15 looked a good amount better then 14 because the lighting was much improved but the faces look so much worse compared to NBA 2K and even NHL or madden.

I don't get all the hate on the graphics. I will agree that the sleeves in particular but the jerseys appear super starched but the do on the NBA games as well. The NBA games have some pretty unrealistic movement at times. Madden - they look like they are skating rather than running.


Have you really looked at the pants? They did an amazing job there. As the legs move, the folds or bubbles in the material move as well. Shoes look great, the players are captured models just like the other sports games, look at the lighting and color differences from PS3 to PS4 even on '14! It doesn't look like a cartoon like Battlefront and CoD look.


Seriously, I don't get all the hate. Maybe your expectations are too high?

Whether lighting is considered graphics, not sure, but imo it has all other sports titles beaten soundly.

The customization level in NBA 2K blew me away.

MLB The Show needs to step up its game; accessories, home/away views, even able to edit tendencies and performance "highs".
