    Re: Finally did it

LOL, I was just watching a CPU vs CPU (Yankees vs Rays) Erasmo Ramirez was pitching a no hitter into 9th. First pitch hit to Forsythe at 2B, threw the ball over Loney at 1B and counted as a base hit when it should have been an error. Jim Joyce responsible for the scoring? Sure enough they got a DP right after, not before a first real hit off the fence for a double by Ellsbury with 2 outs in 9th but that was the only damage and still finish with a 1 (well 2) hitter shutout.

I'm so glad I wasn't pitching 'cause I would have threw the controller at the tv for calling the error a base hit and ruining the no-hitter! Crazy! lol

Why did your starter only go 4 IP?

      Also...those ERAs!

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

He left because of an arm injury. That game was in early May and it was the last win in a 12 game win streak. Currently in mid June and those era's have inflated a bit, except Cook he still hasn't given up a run. Santos' low era was because it was his second start, he was in the pen before that throwing 97-99.

Congrats my friend, one day I will get there.
I am in the same boat as you. I have been playing baseball games since I can remember and have only thrown a perfect game on All-Star Baseball for GCN or N64. I might have thrown a no no or perfect game on MVP but I have only thrown a perfect game against my friend. He is pretty good so I did feel like I accomplished something but as far as against the AI in The Show, I have only come close. I can typically make it through 5 but and get the announcers to mention it and have gotten to the 9th but never am able to pull it off.

Oh and OP, you threw a combined no hitter which is not as impressive as a single pitcher one but congrats none the less. I have never done what you did. What level were you playing on? I am pitching on All-Star but I have never really tried to pitch on rookie level. Maybe I will try to go for it soon.

I play on All-Star thank you. Yes I know it may not be as impressive as a single pitcher one, and I believe I said that in the original post, but that's how the game played out and it still counts in the record books.

              Not as impressive?

              Please.

I'm thrilled I can get a shutout, much less a no-hitter. Lord, for that matter I'm giddy if I get 2 HRs with one guy.

I've played virtually every baseball game since the Commodore 64 and I've never, not one stinking time, thrown a no-hitter or perfect game. Ever. Probably tens of thousands of baseball games.

The only other game I've ever thrown no hitters in was Little League baseball on the NES.

I threw a 10 inning perfect game with CC Sabathia in MLB 2k10, that is my shining moment of video gaming. SI have only thrown one perfect game in any iteration of The Show and that was in 14 with Kershaw.

However you don't care about me, congrats on getting your first! It is truly a special moment!

                      Re: Finally did it

I threw one in MLB 2K...whichever one had the million dollar contest.

But I didn't see the rule where you had to record it. I was moderately upset.

However in The Show last night, I threw 12 Ks with Matt Harvey after making the switch to analog controls and I thought that was pretty cool. My last "classic buttons" game I only threw 4 Ks.
