Curve ball throws from the fielders?

What is with the curve ball throws from the fielders?

You can clearly see it in the new MLB 16 The Show trailer.

Is this ever going to be fixed?

The fielding system is one of the few glaring weaknesses with the gameplay in this series. Too many quick, unnatural motions.

I hope throws will be greatly improved in MLB The Show 16!

The ball is sinking. It's a little dramatic in the game, but it happens in real life, too.

I agree that the game is probably trying to mimic the gravity drop and sidearm sink that most infielders get on their throws. Although maybe I'll have to look at some replays and see if any throws do hook at all. If there was one thing I'd like to see with the fielding is better contextual animations relating to throws. For instance in the trailer there was a double play where the 2nd baseman barehands the ball and throws to first. He had so much time the runner coming from first peeled off toward right field even. Lots of other examples like third baseman and bunts. So I'd agree with most that the fielding is one of the few weaknesses in the series, but for me it's mostly aesthetic.
