I agree that this would be great if it was back in.

However, to the people saying integrate Spotify - I have no idea how that could even work. First of all, the library at Spotify is constantly changing, so wouldn't we see errors if a song you were referencing dropped off Spotify? Then you have the fact that I don't think downloading for offline use is available on the PS4. So now you're trying to reference a certain part of a live stream from within The Show.

Doesn't sound possible.

If so, my guess is they programmed the PS4 version of SOTS to look at that instead of the HDD now.

If Sony brings streaming back to the HDD....I'm guessing it will go to that.

But then you would have to wonder what would happen if you removed, changed, re-organized the USB device that was originally used when you set up your various SotS files. Maybe back to default sounds/songs if the file being requested isn't exactly the same as it was originally?

I'm still leaning towards SotS being a limited form of what we used to have on PS3. Something closer to a library of pre-recorded chants, cheers, jeers, and a selection of additional generic music that comes with the game that you can use. Still can be cool, but not as custom...

That's the best case scenario other than PS4 adding mp3 compatibility.

I don't know of any other game that uses USB storage, though. Can developers even access it?

I think they are going to partner with MLB/PlayStation Music to provide 30 seconds of each player's real life walkup music from 2015. They are all listed on MLB.com. It could be a cross promotion with Spotify or something.

No, the music would be on the disc. Spotify would pay for the licenses for 20-30 seconds of each song and they would sponsor Sounds of the Show. In the case there would be a Spotify free trial or something.

When you go into Sounds of the Show to manage the music, it would say "Brought to you by Spotify" on the SOTS screen.

I have not bought the game new since 13 because of no Sounds of the Show. I was really disappointed in the next gen version because it seemed so stale with out the different walkup, chants, intros. I preordered 16 in anticipation of the 11th and the return of SOS. Now if they would release a vita version of 16.
