    Disabled List Still Broken?

So I have one guy on the DL and I can see it says I have 24 guys on the roster + the DL guy. But I can not hire a new FA. It's still telling me I need to release someone. What's the dealio?

I found a thread from 2009 saying pretty much the same thing. Have they not fixed this feature in 6 iterations of this game?

This is my first MLB: The Show game. So I have no reference to earlier versions.

    Technically.....it's not broken.
There is a 90 player limit to each organization.
It's asking you to release a player to stay within that parameter.
But the DL.....the 25 man and the 40 man rosters work as they are supposed to if you if you do sign a FA(with less than 90 in the org.)....as you can sign him and place him on the 40 man if you DL(60 day) the injured player.

So... you're saying that if I drop ANYONE, even from the AA or A rosters, it should work? Is that how it would work in real life?

I think I'll log out of Fallout and see if it works.

hmm... seems weird, but it worked. I have a long reliever on the staff once again!

        Thank you, sir.

No, this isn't how it works in real life, it's an in game mechanic. There has been talk on the forums for years of fans asking for larger/expanded rosters and to include single A simulation, but I doubt it's going to happen now with year to year saves.

Personally, I'm a little indifferent. I can see the appeal, but baseball has such a deep and intricate farm system I don't blame the devs for cutting it off at AA for simplicity's sake.

Right.....IRL...you can have as many players somewhere in the org. as you like really(although there are limits to each roster at each level....like WW said, there are SO many affiliates, it's basically endless to the amount of player you can have.
            The game however.....not so much!
There is a way to have more than 90....but it's by a lopsided trade and in that case you have 3 days to cut it back down to 90 again anyway so it's a temporary instance.
I guess it would be nice to expand Single A to 25...but then we'd want another 15 of Low A.....and....

              Re: Disabled List Still Broken?

What about the situation where Chris Davis went on the DL the first week of the season, spent his 60 days on the DL, came back and is healthy but still shows DL next to his name and after every single game the pop up shows that he's healthy and I can choose to auto utilize or place on the bench. Anyone have a cure for this?
