    Start or Wait? (Franchise)

So I have been thinking about playing my Astros franchise but I dont know if I should bother with it considering the new game comes out in April. If there are new uniforms I would like those and I would like to use updated stadiums. So I dont know if those will carry over when I import my franchise.

I also dont see my self going more than 1 season in with this version of the show as I have a ton of other games to play currently.

Yes, I believe when you carry of to the new game it will change over to the new content. Such as Uniforms, Closed Stadiums etc.

A couple roster considerations to add to this: Players who retired and are no longer in the MLBPA will be replaced on your carry over save with generic names and appearances, but the same ratings as the retired player. Tim Hudson, LaTroy Hawkins, and Torii Hunter are examples.

Also, players added to the game after release last year (ex: Kyle Schwarber, Byron Buxton, etc.) will be replaced on your carry over with their new, properly named and and real appearance players that come with MLB 16. As long as you keep the official final roster from Sony SD and don't edit/create your own version of those players.

I'm pretty sure how it worked with MLB 15, so I'm assuming this will still hold true with MLB 16.

If I use the OS opening day roster does everything carry over/convert? Im assuming no based on what you said but figured Id at least ask.

I can't really decide what to do here either. Kinda wanna start and play 2015, with '2015' rosters, but still make all the accurate offseason moves this year, so as to have accurate 2016 rosters when mlb16 drops...

Everything/one will carry over except for the injured players that were SCEA created and the players that retired after the 15 season. They will be replaced with generic names that you can go back in and edit after you import your franchise/season.

I got MLB 15 last month and started with opening day rosters for 15 played ab 20 games and craved for the updated stats from real life progression of the 2015 season. Nolan Arrenado will never become the player he transpired to be last year. Also Harper is a beast and Machado. Otherwise they play like tweeners. I believe I went with V3. So happy I did.

Having the draft picks on the roster is nice too

I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.

So if I were to skip MLB16, but not start my '16 season' until the real '16 season starts, would I get the real schedule?

Or is the only way to get the real schedule in a 'current' franchise by doing a Y2Y save via '16?

I feel like this is worded very poorly, lol...does the above make sense?

You would have to carry over the franchise to MLB 16 to get the real schedule for your 2016 season. You wouldn't get the real 2016 season schedule in your franchise file on MLB 15.

                      That's what I thought.

One thing to consider - unless they fix it for 2016 - when you carry over a franchise your are forced into GM mode unless you are using 30 team control.

Wait, are you telling me that if I buy 2016 for PS4 and use my 2015 PS3 franchise, I won't be able to play any games? Is this by design or something technical they haven't figured out?

You mean you are forced to play with GM contracts on?

I transferred over a file from 14 to 15 and was to able to play games. I think Tessl meant you are forced to play with GM contracts on if you transfer a file over.

DOes the same apply for RTTS?

                              I would assume so...?
