My current settings are Assisted base-running, Default interface, and Assisted Sliding decisions. I know a lot of people play on auto base-running....and if thats the only way to solve this ill do it, but id like to keep it on assist as i like to make gambles when i want to.

Runner Sliding on Hit and Run
Has anyone else had the problem of the base-runner automatically sliding when they try a hit and run? This has been happening for a while and im not sure what i need to do.

If it's a fly ball, hold R1 and pray your runners get back in time. Also, if there's a guy on 3rd this will send him back as well for a potential tag up.
If it's a line drive at somebody....you're probably boned - the inherent risk of the hit and run.Last edited by bcruise; 01-04-2016, 01:16 AM. -
Re: Runner Sliding on Hit and Run
As long as the guy on 1st is the only man on, or if it's runners at 1st and 2nd, hold L1 after you confirm contact, or even before that if you're comfortable swinging while holding a second button down. This will make the runners (all of them) round off their base and keep going. The slide happens because the player is reaching the base and going into a slide before you enter a new baserunning command, so the sooner you can start holding L1, the better.
