If you throw a slider or a fastball with good movement out of the zone I'm done. You can tell me it's coming and I'll swing and miss.
Pitch selection in general is brutal for me, but pitches that start in the zone and leave it quickly kill me.
As for a strength, I'm good at pitching, especially getting deep into games with starters.

I found I got a LOT better at pitch recognition when I started patting myself on the back for good takes. They started to become a major victory for me, even when they were a strike. I started FORCING myself to take pitches, sometimes going so far as to put the controller down because I couldn't trust my body.

And yes, I have lunged for the controller to try and swing at a pitch, that's how hard it can be sometimes.

Now that it's second nature to me, I've started working on letting even hittable pitches go in order to get into deeper counts and learn a guys stuff a little better. It's tough (especially knowing when it is ok to swing at an early pitch), but the results are really starting to shine through.

I also suck with the "rob home run" button.

I just can't ever time it right.

I've been playing this game since 07/08(?) and have maybe robbed 4/5 home runs....ever.

A very frustrating element of the game for me.

        Any tips?

Strengths: Pitching overall (Hall of Fame), taking pitches
Weaknesses: Baserunning and too many strikeouts

Well I've got a similar track record, so I'm not sure how much I can help, but still, this is my best tip for robbing home runs.

I find the timing of the run up to the wall is just as important, if not more so then the timing of pressing the button. It's a tough little trick to learn and I'm definitely a long way from mastering it, but I know I've nailed it a few times. Sometimes I hold back just to give my player a proper run towards to wall.

That's the best I got, hope it helps.
