Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
Im in the "I love the camera" club. I wish it would occur more often as a matter of fact.
I wish they would put all of the elements they took out. The throw back to the pitcher, foul ball cams etc. I actually wish they would add more. Mangers and ball boys tossing balls into the stands, players interacting with each other and the crowd. Almost every game I put the controller down for a few minutes just to see what happens. Some great moments that make me love this game even more!In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
I much prefer the anticipation of watching ball flight instead of the player reacting. Even on no-doubters, I would prefer to see where the ball goes/lands. Best case scenario would be a 2nd deck cam which shows the ball in flight and the batter's reaction on the same screen. Kinda like a fan-cam. Allow me to look where I want to look instead of going to a cut-scene.Comment

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
I always found it weird that a few years ago they started adding incidental shots between pitches like a closeup of the pitcher getting the ball back or base runners milling around to make the presentation look much more like a television broadcast, and yet in '15 the home run camera is permanently enabled and you get other video game-y camera angles (closeups on pickoffs, dynamic fielding camera) that takes a huge step back from that.
That said, I could go either way on it. I'd probably like to see it only on no-doubters or in clutch situations, so I totally support appending a slider to it were it to return. When the Giants come to town, it's Bye Bye Baby...Comment

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
At first, the homerun camera bothered me some but I've grown used to it and like it. I do not mind it at all right now. I would probably keep it on if there was an option to disable it.
The game does soooo many things right that something like the homerun cam does not bother me.PSN: ckarlic

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
Well the good thing in all of this IMO is the fact I have seen a 75%/25% ratio on no HR camera to seeing it.
I see more of the pull back no doubter angles than the HR cam no doubters. And this was in response to this on 14 via a patch and it carried into 15 as well.
So it's not bad. But the option to turn it off would be a welcomed toggle added back.
These guys do read and listen to us on the forums here, and take constructive suggestions. I remember very well on 14 with auto fielding turned on but manual throwing turned on they had this annoying blue circle under the fielder. I really was bummed about it. I had the opportunity to interact with a developer and he was able to get it changed back to no "blue circle" under the fielder with auto fielding on and manual throwing on for 15 (don't change it back again on 16 please LOL!!!!)
These guys "get it".Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
I'm against home run celebrations in she show and real life as well. I don't think showboating of any kind should be allowed in any game or sport! Old time players showed their greatness by on field heroics, not by contrived celebrations of feats that have been done many times by other players. I'm sure my opinion will offend some of you young whippersnappers out there in pc land.Comment

I Think the game should bring it back. That way it will fit everyone who does and doesn't like the camera cut."It Makes Sense If You Don't Think About it"

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
I like it. It makes the home run feel more special and adds to the reward factor.
Yes it takes away the "surprise" factor, but that "surprise" doesn't always exist in real life either. There are definitely home runs in real life where you know it's gone as soon as contact is made, especially if you are the pitcher or the batter (or catcher).
The Home Run Cam just relays that feeling of a no-doubt home run.
I empathize and agree it should be optional, but if I had the option, I'd still leave it on.Comment

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
My opinion...
Give us the option to completely turn it off. This game has a great TV style broadcast and then out of nowhere you see a weird cut scene that you've never seen on TV before go to a weird camera view for a no doubt HR. It's out on context in a broadcast style format and makes the game feel less of baseball simulation. It takes the fun out of seeing the ball go into the stands and the thrill out of not knowing if it's going out of the yard or not.Comment

Re: Homerun Celebration Camera - would you turn it off if you could?
No. I like the no doubter cutscenes. It doesn't even happen all the time either. It happens like 30-40% of the time which is fine with me as I like not knowing if it's going over the wall.
Like it was already mentioned, I want foul ball camera. I want to see the foul ball go into the crowd like they do on television. In this game however, you just see the ball go off screen as the batter shuffles around.Comment

I love the camera they use in super mega baseball.
no hr cutscenes and it looks beautiful.
